We see that all the characters suffer in their life such as Vladimir suffers from keep waiting for Godot the whole time that he thought of hanging himself on the tree. Estrogen suffers from his boots that cause him pain but he cannot get rid of them. Pozzo in the second act becomes blind for no obvious reason "I woke up one fine day as blind as fortune". He mentioned fortune which means his blindness was totally by sudden. Lucky suffers as a servant and that his master pozzo does not treat him well even though he serves him well. The play is considered comedy too because most of the events are funny and presented with humor to the audience.

Q3// The theme of repetion is one of the main themes in the play Waiting for Godot. The events, actions, and the setting are repeated severally. We have no clear plot in the play that makes the audience feel that he is watching the same scene over and over and makes him get bored. The characters repeat the same actions amd dialogues that do not even make sense to the audience. The author made the theme of repetion the main focus in this play since it is considered as one of the main features of the absurdity concept and that the entire play is absurd.

Q2// Absurdity means choas and disorder in real life. In literature, it means the events and the actions are not clear and the time is not certain, besides the characters are irretional, unreasonable, and ridiculous. The absurd theater is characterized by repetition. All the events are repeated so many times that the audience feel that they are watching the same scene severally leading them to get bored. This kind of theater has no clear plot. The plot is easily predictable by the audience. In addition, the characters are irretional, unreasonable, and silly in which their actions do not make any sense to the audience.

Q1// Godot cannot be considered as character since he doesn't appear in the play, but the main characters Vladimir and Estragon keep waiting for him the whole play. Godot symbolizes God, purpose, and death. According to some critics, Godot refers to God since people look for him and want to get some answers about the meaning of life and their existence as well, yet, he does not appear at all which means people lost their purpose and their meaning in life. Godot could symbolizes death that people are waiting for in order to get rid of their suffering in life and finally rest in peace when death comes to them which is represented by the coming of Godot.

Q3// The character Louka has a significance in the play. She is ambitious, arrogant, and curious character. In the very beginning, she discovered the truth of Bluntschli's hide in Raina's room from the Bulgarian army. As the play progresses, she falls in love with Sergius (Raina's fiancè) and could succeed to gain his love in spite of their social differences.Then she revealed the reality of Raina and Bluntschli's love to sergius which was the cause of their encouragement to get married. Eventually, she got married to the man whom she loves which is Sergius.

Q2// The theme of portrait is an marks its significance in the play. Raina tells Bluntschli about the portrait that she put in the pocket of her Father's coat that she gave to Bluntschli during his fleeing from the Bulgarian army. This portrait includes writing on its back "For my chocolate cream soldier". Raina asks him about it but he denies seeimg any portrait. Raina feels worried that her father might notice it, but Bluntschli never cares and tells him that he put it there himself.This portrait reveals Raina's feelings towrad Bulntschli, but he didn't discover that yet.

Q1/B// Catherine tells her husband Betkoff after he returned back from the battle about an electric bell that they put in their house.They can use it instead of shouting for the servants and Nicola would come up.This matter signifies that Catherine cares for her social status and emerge as educated people and the best among all classes in the country.

Q1// The speaker is Louka addressing Nicola. She tells him that she knows many secrets about the family that no one else knows them and she might use them against the family to get what she wants. Nicola tells her that he knows more secrets that she knows. He knows secrets about Raina that would break her engagements with her fiancè Sergius. Louka feels shocked since she didn't tell him. Nicola reveals that this is his job to serve the family faithfully and she must do so and hold her tongue otherwise she will be expelled from her job.
