The auther George Bernard Show used irony technique to criticize heroism and patroitism and any soldier dies in the battlefields.From the title Arms and the Man is an ironic title not realistic. The auther intended to use it to convey his message about the terrible image of wars.

Q2// The liberary has an important significance in the play. This liberary belongs to the Betkoff's family. It is a big liberary but a simple and ordinary one. It consists of piles of books and old paper covered the novels. It is the only liberary in Bulgaria and it represents Betkoff family's wealth and that they are educated. The liberary represents the social classes and that only the high class families has the right to read and educate otherwise the poor classes.

Q1/B// The speaker is Raina addressing Bluntschli about the portrait that she put in the pocket of her Father's coat that she gave to Bluntschli during his fleeing from the Bulgarian army. This portrait includes writing on its back "For my chocolate cream soldier". Raina asks him about it but he denies seeimg any portrait. Raina feels worried that her father might notice it, but Bluntschli never cares and tells him that he put it there himself.

Q1// The speaker is Louka addressing Sergius telling him that he cannot marry her because he is coward to do so, since he fears what people might say about him due to the differences in social positions between them. He tells her that she lies and that he would marry her truely one day. She dares him and says let us see whether you dare to keep your words and marry me.She will not wait long for him.

Q3// Catherine tells her husband Betkoff after he returned back from the battle about an electric bell that they put in their house.They can use it instead of shouting for the servants and Nicola would come up.This matter signifies that Catherine cares for her social status and emerge as educated people and the best among all classes in the country.

Q2/B// The speaker is Louka addressing Nicola. She tells him that he can never be her master or give her orders since he is just a servant and that she is higher than him even though both of them are servants.He tells her to serve the family faithfully without revealing any of their secrets since this is her job and that if she does so, they would discharge her from the house. Eventually she tells him that she rathers him to be her servant than her husband.

Q2// The speaker is Catherine addressing her husband Betkoff when he was looking for his old coat. She tells him to look for it in the blue closet. He tells her that he looked there but couldn't find it, so Catherine sends Nicola there to look for it. Then he returns back holding the coat in his hand. Major Betkoff feels shocked and happy at the same time to see it and wear it again.

Q1// Louka is an ambitious and curious girl. Even though she is just a servant and has to obey her masters' rules, she didn't follow any and that she is always spying on them. When captin Bluntschli got in Raina'a room to hide from the Bulgarian army, Louka noticed his pistol on the floor and that's how she discovered the reality of Bluntschli.
