In addition, due to the increase in flight range, the guidance accuracy has deteriorated, which is a consequence of the use of the obsolete 1D14 artillery rangefinder over long distances, which allowed guidance only in direct fire mode. But they began to replace him. In addition to all of the above, for the production of new missiles in series, new assembly lines were needed, and also, the wheeled chassis significantly limited the possibility of using this system off-road and increased the vulnerability of the system to soil. And so. After the failure of TOS-2 “Tosochka”, which never reached gold (in series), Omsktransmash announces a certain TOS-3 “Dragon”. But what is it? Apparently, the TOS-3 “Dragon” is the use of a chassis from the TOS-1/1A (T-72, T-90 and possibly even the T-80) with a launcher from the TOS-2. In addition, if the fight against FPV is mentioned, then the electronic warfare system will be installed on this system, either the Harpy Pro 120W (which accompanied the TOS-1A since 2023, being installed on the BMP-3), or the RP-377LA "Lorandit", a small-sized multifunctional means of radio monitoring, direction finding and suppression.
