OnePlus has also adjusted its bootloader unlocking policy, starting with devices shipped with ColorOS 16, which can no longer be unlocked directly, and the application for unlocking needs to meet the following conditions: 1.ColorOS 16 and above 2. No abnormalities or violations in the account 3. Non-government enterprise and carrier customized tablet or cell phone 4. Tablets or cell phones releases in mainland China. It is uncertain what will happen to the unlocking policy outside of mainland China, and whether OPPO will further restrict OnePlus devices from unlocking the bootloader. So Xiaomi has started blocking off the bootloader unlocking support for older models Translation: Around August 5, 2025, Xiaomi shut down the servers for older device models (referring to devices without official UI12 support). The affected devices currently include: Mix (1st gen) Devices with Snapdragon 6 series or earlier Tablets 4th gen and earlier All Max series All Note (prior to Redmi self-brand) series All Redmi 6 series (including Note 6) and earlier devices that have BL (bootloader) lock For unlocking, do not flash keymaster, or else the device will be permanently bricked and cannot be fixed. For devices with UI12, UI13, UI14, or OS1, if you need anything, please act quickly. I can’t predict when Xiaomi will shut down the explanation/unlock servers for UI14 as well 🤪🤪🤪 Xiaomi is burned out and won’t recover. Since they’ve already blocked the old phone access route, they clearly have the capability to completely block UI14 unlocking and Q&A access in a short period of time. Also, the "Fastboot" downgrade method is no longer applicable. Some regions have already fully switched to AVB-verified 9008 downgrading. This method should, in theory, still work as long as the phone is from the Dynamic Partition group (even Snapdragon 860/865 should be usable). Xiaomi is suspected to have closed bootloader unlocking channel for devices with the latest system version of MIUI 11 (devices with bootloader in 2018 and before), currently Xiaomi Mi MIX and Xiaomi Mi 5 will not be able to be unlocked again after locking the bootloader (can not bind unlocking account in system settings),but devices from 2019 onwards to HyperOS 1 are not affected At the same time, Xiaomi is no longer updating the time of unlock quizzes, the latest being July 25, 2025, which is two weeks ago, which means that devices shipped with HyperOS may never be able to unlocked

No Android security patches have been released by Google this month, and according to sources, Android security patches will subsequently be released quarterly, with patches released monthly only for fatal vulnerabilities
