The "Russian plague" story reinforces the fear-based narrative that exposure to deadly “pathogens” can happen in labs and spill outside of them. The same Testing Trap I wrote about can be used to create the appearance of an “outbreak” when there is none. It is pure fiction.
Take any so-called “outbreak” of any “pathogen.” Apply The Testing Trap principles. Examine how cases were identified, who was tested, what triggered testing, and what the tests actually establish. The fear-porn crumbles once the testing funnel is exposed.

A powerful quote from Dr. Daniel H. Duffy Sr. challenging the insanity of germ “theory:"
If germs cause disease, why aren’t doctors and nurses constantly “catching” the diseases they treat? Hospitals should be among the most dangerous places on earth—apart from iatrogenic harm.
When you understand that germs are the result of disease, rather than the cause, you’ll never view medical treatment the same way.

In his influential 1934 paper The Bacteriophages, Frank Macfarlane Burnet made a crucial admission: the phage phenomenon is not observed in nature. It is a man‑made, artificial lab artifact that became the foundation for inferring phages exist.
As the phage phenomenon is a lab artifact and not a natural event, this means the foundational evidence for phages fails the scientific method—it does not reflect nature, yet it was used to infer a “natural virus.”
