| 14 |  Loyalty is a paradoxical concept that merges the metaphysical with established reality. It is something that one can not buy, yet, still earn. It can not be requested, only offered. Though it seemingly only exists within our minds, it deeply affects the world around us.
Loyalty itself is not alive, yet, somehow, it lives. It is something that we can and can not see. That we can and can not feel. It is something that we may or may not experience in both life, and death.
Loyalty is the contradiction, and the evidence. It's perpetual presence, or lack thereof, neverendingly confirm or undermine it's existence. It, like love, is one of philosophy's most unanswerable conundrums.
But, even though it will always remain a philosophical dilemma, we can be sure that despite loyalty having absolutely no financial value, it is still more valuable than anything that does. | 1 |
