Happy International Human Rights Day!
On December 10th, 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). This historic document outlines the fundamental rights and freedoms that belong to every person in the world, from birth until death.
In commemoration of this day our incredible interns along side our Executive Director and program team are representing EHRDC in the Human Rights Day Bazaar hosted by Center for Advancement of Rights and Democracy - CARD.

We're thrilled to have had the privilege of hearing from the inspiring speakers of Her Walk Her Talk, sharing their stories and work for WHRDs.
Ato Shimelis Gebeyew, General Manager of Oasis Training and Consultancy Service, shared his journey as a father, colleague, professional, and defender of gender equality.
And our surprise guest, Hayat Abdu, an 8th grader and young WHRD who took the stage and shook the crowd with her speech about empowering girls through education and access to affordable menstrual hygiene products. Hayat reminded us all that challenges and negative stereotypes can be transformed into energy for young women to become strong and successful.
We wrapped up the program networking session with our guest speakers and audience to exchange information and feedback. We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to our guest speakers for joining us in the Her Walk Her Talk experience sharing program and sharing their journeys with us.
