One of the biggest pleasures on Earth: to peek into the keyhole. Shall we? 🥗 I doubt I have any choice in the matter. - Сомневаюсь, что у меня есть выбор. 🥗 How can that possibly affect them? - Как это может повлиять на них? 🥗 With 5000 per year if would not matter if he had warts?- С доходом в 5000, есть ли разница есть ли у него бородавки?

Suddenly I got a voice from this Japanese candyman: “Darina, he is Arab! You gotta learn Arabic to help lost kids find their mommies everywhere.” I don’t know why he knew my name. I guess the police officer told him I was some kind of crazy lunatic, who shouts at people in 10 different languages. But… I got out of the car and I saw a beautiful woman in Burka. Her desperate pale face was… so full of hope as strange as I might sound. I’ve never seen such a lost and happy person in my life. She couldn’t even speak. As if she was deaf and… Saint. I know I contradict myself but it was like it was. I got Mr Yes from the car, saying: “Who is ready for hugs? Your mom is ready to give you the biggest one!” And that was the moment I would never forget. She fell on her knees and started kissing him everywhere. He didn’t resist. He smiled like an air balloon turning from Mr Yes to Mr Sunshine. His mother took his arms and burst into tears. She was sitting like this for eternity, kissing his palms, his face, his eyes... It was… Something really special…Everything stood still. Mr Yes was just looking at me and smiling. As if he was saying: “You did keep your promise, didn’t you?” I looked around. Everybody was watching with pure admiration. This was what home feels like. Everyone was so connected… I remember these warm beautiful goosebumps all over my body… Their dad called. The woman in burka started talking to him in Arabic. Noah said: “Oh God. I’m happy his dad is not here. He would kick this little butt! I know Muslim dads!” “But mothers are the same everywhere’, - I thought to myself. Forgiving, loving and magical. And home… Home feels the same everywhere. This connection with yourself and everything around you. I found home. Home I was looking for all this time. God gives us home the moment we are ready to open our hearts to see it. But it is always there for us. This powerful, soothing, comforting and magical home… Sweet home. Why do we need to lose it to finally find it? The end. 🏠

Suddenly something happened to me. I felt so much pain in my chest... I didn’t know what it was. The pain was unbearable. I burst into tears. He was confused, looking at me so attentively. He tried to tickle me back but I got so desperately sad. His mom… I thought of his mom. Who is this woman and where is she? What is happening to her now? She has lost her child in the middle of the biggest and one of the most dangerous places on Earth. She must be in so much pain now. For her every minute was a life time... I hugged Mr Yes and held him tight. At these moment I had no control over my feelings. I said: -You know… I feel so sad for your mom. Your mommy. – I pauses. - She lost you. She must be so scared now. You poor mommy. His reaction took me aback. He nodded and sad: “Yes”. This time his “yes” was so different. I continued: - When your mommy comes to get you, she is gonna cry too. But she is gonna have happy tears on her face. She is gonna take you in her arms and will never let you go. ‘Cause you mean the world to her. You are everything to her. He listened so carefully fully consumed in what I was telling him. He really understood what I was talking about. I felt it. - You know… I remember the moment I lost my mom in a Russian town called Armavir. I was about 4 too. Just like you. – He was listening so seriously. - It lasted for 10 minutes or so, but I felt like it was eternity. I was so scared. No one asked me who I was or why I was crying. I just kept on walking an looking for my mom feeling so hopeless and lost until I almost fainted. But you … Man… You didn’t even cry. You were so brave. So courageous! Gosh, I’m so proud of you! You trusted me, ha? And I was a complete stranger to you. I sill am. You are such a great man! You do have the spirit, don’t you? He smiled. His face looked so proud. I have no idea what he thought, but somehow, he followed everything I was saying. We were looking at each other: two different people from different lives not speaking any common language. In a strange police car… Feeling so home. Home… How desperate we are to find it… How much we suffer when we have no home. When we lose our home… When we stop feeling at home. It’s like losing the ground under your feet. I continued telling my story to him: - My tears were rolling down my face and I was walking with no hope. It was the end of my life. I’m telling you. The end of everything. And then I saw my mom! She was like an angel from heaven. She took me in her arms and we started crying. But those were tears of happiness. I remember this moment as if it was yesterday. I felt so happy. It was a real bliss. And you will know soon how it feels to be in your mom’s hands again. Do you believe me?.. He was listening to me.

“What home feels like…” Part 3 ✔️ “Why do we need to lose home to finally find it?” We finally found a police car. A police officer ordered me to put the boy in the car and to stay outside. They started checking his pockets for any information, taking his shoes off and shaking him like he was a toy. He felt so scared and I couldn’t take it any longer. I went: - Come on! Leave him alone. He is scared. Don’t you see that? The Turkish officer apparently got scared of me (lol) and let me sit in the car. My overreaction shocked the policeman, but to my surprise he kindly said in his Turkish accent: “Sorry, mam. Ok, no problem. You can stay with him in car. I bring you water”. I felt ashamed to be so bitchy. I guess I really felt I was his only island of peace and I needed to save his fragile world from ruthless animals. So is the human nature. But everyone was just trying to help. We were all one big team. There were some tourists outside. A funny Japanese guy with a hilarious smile got us some Asian candies. I asked him to speak with Mr Yes in Japanese. Haha! He even tried Chinese. Didn’t work… Come on! Where was he from? Another guy with a camera was trying to ask for an interview. I told him to go to hell. Finally, they all left us alone. I looked at the boy and said: - Man! Can you see how lucky we are! We are in the centre of one of the most historical places on Earth eating sweets feeling like the kings. How cool is that? Don’t you think? He nodded to me as if he understood me. I tickled him and made him laugh. His laughter melted my heart. Mr Yes was fine. He felt good with me. And I was glad I could help him to find peace.
