I took a sample of the Blue Wall states to derive an over/under estimate since west coast states are tardy. Adjusting just these states we derive 2 M democrat votes nationwide missing from this 2024 election as compared to 2020. In reality, since these were funding-focus states, the tally is likely more on the order of 2 to 4 M, excluding volatility in CA-OR-WA which may not be a valid comparison.
