Hey everyone, I have an urgent prayer request. My wife and I went to a musical play, performed in the Biterroot Valley of Montana, tonight based on the Monty Python and the Holy Grail movie. We thought it would be a lightly edgy play like the movie. In reality there were horrible blasphemies committed against Our Lord. Including gags like peeking up God's skirt, and using the Holy Grail as a microphone while scantily clad women danced to jazzy showtunes. We left before the first act ended. Please pray in reparation to the Sacred Heart of Christ for these blasphemies, and for the conversion of everyone involved - cast and audience. Thank you so much.

Russian “orthodox” Patriarch Kirill rebuked Father Alexei Shläpin, who, at the diocesan assembly of Moscow, urged the clergy to focus on the Kingdom of Heaven rather than Russian interests.

How to pray the Chaplet of the Seven Sorrows or Servite Rosary:
1. Act of Contrition:
O My God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, because I fear the loss of Heaven and the pains of hell, but most of all because I have offended Thee, O God, who are all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life. Amen.
2. Three Aves (Hail Mary) for the tears of Our Blessed Mother.
3. Seven sets of 1 Paternoster and 7 Aves, each announcing one of the Seven Sorrows:
The Prophecy of Simeon
The Flight into Egypt
The Loss of the Child Jesus
The Meeting of Christ during His Passion
The Crucifixion
The Taking Down from the Cross
The Burial in the Tomb
Each followed by the strophe:
"Most Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary pray for us!"
And a Gloria.
4. After the Seventh Gloria, three Aves for the tears of the Blessed Mother.
5. The versicle:
V. Pray for us, O most sorrowful Virgin.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
6. The closing prayer:
Lord Jesus, we now implore, both for the present and for the hour of our death, the intercession of the most Blessed Virgin Mary, Thy Mother, whose holy soul was pierced at the time of Thy passion by a sword of grief. Grant us this favor, O Saviour of the world, Who liveth and reigneth with the Father and the Holy Ghost, forever and ever. Amen.
7. (In divers and sundry places) the Hymn Stabat Mater.

Yesterday, 12 February, was the Feast of the Seven Holy Founders of the Servite Order, dedicated in a special way to Our Lady of Sorrows and holders of the oldest unchanged Rosary in the Church, the Chaplet of the Seven Sorrows.
These singularly devoted men of Florence were gifted a vision of Our Lady, each separately but identical and unbeknownst to the others, that led them out of the world "the better to serve Almighty God".
With Septuagesima just around the corner, here is an ideal devotion for reflection on the meaning of sacrifice, for no one understood and understands penance for others like Our Lady, whose Immaculate and Sorrowful Heart joined itself inextricably to her Son's own suffering and sacrifice. May Our Sorrowful Mother by her Rosary and her Scapular, draw us all ever closer to worthiness of the promises of Christ!

Remember “love your enemies” that pagans love to use to attack us is used out of context
It means to love your personal enemies

One thousand pilgrims from the Nordic area of Europe traveled to Rome for the Jubilee. A significant number because in their countries they are minorities. However, the numbers of Catholics are growing strongly in recent years.
Repost from St Benny’s Refectory
God is the creator of the world, and what He has made is good. How then do we account for the evil in the world? Because man has free will, He can miss use God’s gifts and transgress His Commandments and do evil. He can become an evil of his greatest benefactor. It would be foolish to delay our conversion until God will separate the weeds from the wheat.

JANUARY 9: HE REVERSED THE EFFECTS OF JANSENISM
Blessed Giacomo Abbondo
Priest
Died: 1788
---
He was an Italian diocesan priest. He was still underaged when he was ordained because he received dispensation from the pope. He was known as an excellent preacher. He revitalized the faith life of his flock, endlessly visiting parishioners, and leading retreats. He reversed the effects in his parishioners due to having a former Jansenist priest. He made them feel that God is not far from them and that they can approach God.

Canadian reverend and LGBT activist Brent Hawkes says Christians referring to Jesus Christ as “savior” is offensive to other religions.
Even Canada’s churches suck. Wow.
“I would hope that someday this church would see the possibility of changing that word [savior] because it is a stumbling block for so many…”
“How do we explain that phrase to Muslims and to Jews and to Hindus?”

— 🇮🇱/🇺🇸 NEW: A Jewish restaurant in New York City was forced to close down, after the restaurant was discovered presenting two different menu cards to its customers – one for 'regular' customers, and one for Jews, with significantly cheaper prices
After an investigation by local police, the owner, 43 year old Moshe Feinman, was also found guilty on charges of money laundering and conspiracy to commit tax fraud.
