In the Genesis story the rainbow is literally the sign of "no reset" — the covenant after the flood that life won't be wiped clean again. So if you carry the rainbow as an inner image, you're carrying a very old promise: whatever storms come, the world isn't given up on. The Rainbow Gathering name adds another layer — the prophecy of people from all colors and tribes coming together to heal what's broken. That's less a guarantee that the light "wins" and more an invitation: the rainbow only appears when light passes *through* the rain. It doesn't deny the storm; it transforms it into something visible and whole. Rosenberg said "everybody's needs can get met" wasn't faith in good triumphing over evil, but lived experience that when enemy images dissolve, the conflict resolves itself. In that sense the rainbow in the heart isn't a bet that positive forces are stronger; it's a practice of refusing the reset — refusing to write anyone off, including the ones bringing the rain.
