Growing the glutes heyyeh @ New I am 5’3 and 90lbs. I workout 3-4 times a week. I try to build muscles, particularly my glutes, but I don’t really see any results and it has been 6 months. I have hips, but glute situation is just.. sad. I constantly increase the weights and control my protein intake and nutrition. Could you please recommend the best exercise/sport that helped you to grow glutes or other tips to follow? I don’t have big chest, so I gotta have glutes at least. No trolling, please. What to do with $2m of one stock? flattenіng @ Meta I have no idea what I'm doing but got extremely lucky with two stocks TSLA & META. About two years ago TSLA made me about $2m which I "diversified" into more tech, still had to pay a sizable tax bill and money hasn't grown much, had gone up and down but pretty much has stabilized on $2.2m for the most part since "diversifying" it. All in all kinda regret doing that cause the taxes and little growth vs. keeping it on TSLA, but appreciate the somewhat softened rollercoaster and knowing it's not all in one company. Now through work I've never sold any META stock I've vested. I know it's stupid and you should sell on best but I believe in the company and looking at tech always felt it should be worth more than the $200-300 something always was hanging around. Now that I've been sitting on it for so many years just like TSLA I'm getting a bit antsy to do something with it but no idea what exactly. Sure, I can sell it and diversify it for real or maybe pickup dividend stock or buy real state all cash but having owned a house for a while I know it's a lot of work and at the end return probably won't be as good. My question for y'all is: What would you do with $2m of one stock? What would you recommend? Would you keep it forever, cash out, diversify, something else? It has been two weeks since my Day 1 at Microsoft and it could not be more amazing! The supportive team, manager, free food, WLB, ..etc. Finally fate has been fair to me and I’m so grateful. P.S. Meta Low-bowled uJeH00 @ Tata Consultancy Services Currently in Houston (LCOL). This is the first time for me to deal with FAANG. I shared my other offer from Expedia already and Got initial numbers from Meta. I didn't bluff on the competitive offers and shared the actual figure. ( I feel this was a huge mistake ?). Then the recruiter just matched with the other offer and not even offered Signon. I feel like I am not getting an average package and the recruiter is not ready to negotiate on these initial numbers. What are the options for me to get something better than this from Meta ? Two different locations Bay Area v/s Seattle. Where WA is state-tax free as TX but CA has state tax. Should I take this Meta offer Saleyforce @ Just got my Meta E5 offer for Bay Area Base 227 RSU 720 Sign on 40 Avg 4 year TC comes around 450k including sign on. 1. Is it possible to bump the numbers without any competing offers? 2. My current TC is ~340k at a mid-tier non-FANG company with excellent WLB. (2 months vacation a year, 30-40 hrs/week, moderate on-call). Is it worth giving that up for the 100k bump. I have family with a young kid, and my concern is I will not be able to spend as much time with my as I want to. On the other hand, the extra money will help a lot as we are saving to buy a house. edit: We barely get any raise or refreshers, so my current pay will pretty much remain stagnant for a while. PLEASE be nice to your interviewer bing bongs @ Amazon I was reached out by a Meta recruiter for a SWE position. I was not really looking for a job, but I decided to take it for practice, and who knows if the offer was right, I would take it! I did the interview. I was able to do the first question, which was trivial. For the second/third questions, I struggled and rambled my way through. I literally had no idea how to do the last addition to the question. I was rattled and embarrassed. Even though I came in with low expectations, no one wants to look dumb. But during it all I smiled, tried to ask good questions, was a little self deprecating, and generally pleasant. I still walked out feeling like I had 0 shot of moving on, no big deal life goes on. I forgot about it. Come to find out I’ve been advanced to onsite. The point being, even when it feels all is lost in an interview, try to keep your composure, accept any hints with genuine gratitude, and you might catch a break. I realize this is just a first round, but as someone who is horrible at leetcode, lacks confidence in interviews, and honestly thought I humiliated myself, I take this as a big win.
