It is estimated (by the Tax Foundation) that the 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico and the 10% tariffs on China will: - reduce GDP by 0.4% - reduce employment by 334k jobs - result in an average tax increase of $830 per US household (2025) A tariff is a tax that the importer pays. They pass that increase in the price they pay to import down to the consumer. Obviously that results in higher prices for things that come from those countries that the tariff is imposed on. A psychotic attempt, by this rich piece of shit, to pay for the tax cuts for his rich fucking friends with the revenue generated by the tariffs paid by the importing company. These companies end up reimbursed by the hike in prices for the consumer and the fucking wealthy save on their taxes. Fuck these people.
