27 After doing the show for 7-8 years, streaming for the last couple years, the time, increase in the number of shows I'm putting out, effort and money put toward making the quality of the show better it is about time for me to come to terms with the fact that it's about time to move on.
The show is going nowhere and, frankly, there are better ways I could/should spend my time. I love doing the show and have fun doing it. It makes me feel good to make people laugh and maybe forget about the dog shit circumstances the world finds itself in. There comes a point in time though that fun and that feeling of joy that comes from making people laugh isn't enough.
Doing streams for 1.5-3 hours 2-3 times a week the last year and getting 5 dollars for all of that just isn't worth it. I didn't start the show to GET RICH or MAKE THE BIG BUCKS but time is finite and I can't continue to just sink time into something that people, aside from the members of the channel, clearly don't value. I hate even mentioning money. I've never made a big deal of it in the time I've been around these circles. I've never complained on stream about nobody donating, as some do. My time is worth something and at this point I would be better off just getting a second job in my spare time instead of continuing to do the program and fritter away the time I have in life for people to laugh at here and there.
I can't honestly say I'm never going to do the show again. I do love doing it. I just can't promise when it will be anymore. As much as I love doing it it also makes me realize I, by any objective standard, have failed at it.
To the members of the channel, cancel your membership. I can't take 5 dollars a month from you, recurring, if I can't promise programs for you anymore. That is not right. I appreciate you guys (there are 50 of you and you know who you are) supporting the program and making it something I could do for awhile. It was a lot of fucking fun.
I'll be around still. I'll be on The Third Rail this Sunday (recording with them tonight for an hour) but after that it's just going to be a when I feel like it thing.
I feel like a dumb bitch even typing that. I feel like an explanation is necessary though for those who do send me 5 a month.
