Repost from Vinnie Sullivan
Manchester was a working class city made up of hard-working people who suffered in order to put money in the pockets of those who subjected them to great harship. I find it heartbreaking to see their efforts and memories disappear under the ruthless wave of hypermodernity.

One of the greatest examples of the juxtaposition between the architectural ugliness of hypermodernity and the rustic relics of bygone Britain is the veiw of Deansgate Station in Manchester.

My favourite parts of Manchester are the parts where the old brickwork, bygone industry, and handsome canal system all gel together to create a world of historic and cultural wonderment.
