🔴 Question:
Is it permissible to wipe over my ḥijāb when it's extremely cold for wudu?
🔵 Answer:
The woman's headcover has two conditions.
• The first one: to be wrapped around her cheeks and go under her chin.
• The second one: not to be wrapped around like that.
When the headcover is tightly wrapped around the cheeks and chin there would be a hardship to remove it for each wudu. Hence, it is permissible to wipe over the khimar that is not easily removed. Also, if the weather is too cold that it might cause harm to the woman if she removes her ḥijāb. Or if she might be seen by non-maḥārim.
This is the view of Shaykhul Islam and a narration from the madhhab of Imām Ahmad.
As for any other situation besides these, it is not permissible to wipe over the ḥijāb as the majority of the scholars said.

🔸 The heart has three conditions:
We live and die (the minor death when we sleep) upon these three conditions.
✒️ The healthy heart:
Is the sound heart that one will not attain salvation in the Resurrection day except through it.
{except that one should appear before Allah with a sound heart} (26:89)
The heart that Abraham and all the prophets -peace be upon them- had.
✒️ The sick heart:
This heart has two lives:
The life of healthy people, and the life of sick people.
Sometimes it's dead, other times it's alive. The illness that this heart suffers comes from sins, desires and doubts.
• This heart feels sick because of two things:
— Doubts in the mind.
— Or desires in the heart.
• And it only becomes sound because of one thing:
— The love of Allāh -‘Azza wa Jal- and the love of the messenger -peace be upon him-
✒️ The dead heart:
There is no life in this heart. It reached the level of death that it doesn't even feel the sickness anymore.
A person with this heart feels like he is a perfect human being, he sees his sins as the truth and doesn't care about the punishment of Allāh.
However, he lives a miserable life because of his desires.

📜 Memories of a scholar 📜
My preferable Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Sālih Al Uthaymeen -may Allāh have mercy upon him-- said:
❝I remember one night after maghrib we were with our Shaykh Abdu Rraḥmān(1). An owl came. There were palm trees surrounding the rooftop where we used to study. This owl came after the birds. It would come after maghrib when the birds are in the palm trees, then it would pounce on them and eat them. I slightly turned to it, but the Shaykh criticised me and said:
“hunting knowledge takes precedence over hunting birds!” (2)❞

One of the consequences of women not taking their hijāb seriously is attracting the eyes of men.
A woman may think that immodesty will bring her a husband!
But she neglects the fact that with immodesty:
• Those eyes that she attracts will be sins for her in The Day when eyes shall stare in consternation.
• With her immodesty, she will gain a husband, but she will never gain a man!
But then don't ask about the tremendous amount of regretfulness when you end up with a husband who is not a man!

📗 The Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ 📗
In the Prophet's Sunnah there are times when it is recommended for people to beautify and adorn themselves, those are:
1- For each prayer.
2- For Friday.
3- The day of Eid.
4- The day of the wedding and the night of nikāh.
5- When a woman welcomes her husband from his travelling.
6- When receiving delegations.
7- When seeking knowledge.
May Allāh make us from those who follow the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ and act upon it.

📓 Tafseer 📓
▪️Four types of drinks are mentioned in the Qur'ān for the people of hellfire:
1- Scalding drink:
Which is a drink that has reached the highest level of heat, Allāh says in the Qur'ān:
{those who abide eternally in the Fire and are given to drink scalding water that will sever their intestines} [47:15]
2- Purulence drink:
It is the chilliest that burns because of its extreme cold, Allāh says in the Qur'ān:
{This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence} [38:47]
3- The tainted water:
Is the water of pus and blood, Allāh says:
{Then after this Hell lies before him where he shall get tainted water to drink} [14:16]
4- Murky water:
A water that is black like murky oil:
{And if they call for relief they will be relieved with water like murky oil which scalds [their] faces Wretched is the drink and evil is the resting place} [18:29]
▪️Qatādah -may Allāh have mercy upon him- said:
Do you have the ability to endure that or do you have patience for it?
Allāh's obedience is easier for you! O folk.
Obey Allāh and His messenger.
