Position: Field Service Engineer – EV Charging Systems Working time: 6 days/ 8 hrs Location : various installed site in Doha and office work as well. Candidate shall be in Qatar with NOC and ready to join. Scope: Technically skilled Field Service Engineer to install, commission, test, troubleshoot, and maintain EV charging systems. Key Responsibilities • Support on Testing and commissioning and maintain EV charging stations and associated electrical systems. • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on EV chargers. • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, communication, hardware, and software-related faults. • Read, understand, and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. • Hands-on experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment. • Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions. • Configure and test EV charger parameters, communication interfaces, and software settings. • Support charger commissioning, functional testing, and site acceptance testing. • Troubleshoot communication protocols and connectivity issues between chargers, networks, and backend systems. • Prepare service reports, test reports, commissioning records, and maintenance documentation. • Follow electrical safety procedures, company standards, and applicable regulations. Required Skills & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering. • Good understanding of low-voltage (LV) electrical systems. • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and circuit drawings. • Experience in EV chargers, electrical systems, industrial equipment, UPS or field service engineering. • Strong electrical and systematic troubleshooting skills. • Hands-on experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment. • Basic understanding of electrical protection devices such as MCBs, MCCBs, RCD/RCBO, contactors, relays, fuses, and surge protection devices. • Familiarity with AC and DC electrical systems. • Familiarity with EV charging systems and their components is highly desirable. • Basic understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, 4G/5G, RS485, CAN, or other communication systems is an advantage. • Comfortable using computers and technical software for configuration, diagnostics, monitoring, and reporting. • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities and good communication and customer-service skills.
