a major goal of the spiritual life is for love of God to become so connatural to you that even if (granted, an impossible scenario) God gave you permission to commit some sin, you would still refuse purely out of love for His law which is in truth identical with His very essence

the Will of God is too inscrutable for me to even attempt a concrete estimate of the “saved” to “not saved” ratio other than to just say a) God does not demand the impossible and wills the salvation of all and b) it is very unsafe to be die outside the visible walls of the Church

the redpill community encouraging men to commit adultery is arguably more pernicious in practice than lgbt activism
the former impacts otherwise normal men who would typically be good husbands/fathers, whereas the latter mostly impacts people who are unmarriageable to begin with
the simple fact is that adultery isn’t only bad because it violates sacred fidelity between spouses, it inflicts direct violence against the good of the offspring, since the very identity of children proceeds from the union of their parents, and so when that unity is compromised, the children will necessarily suffer deep seated spiritual and psychological wounds
*this* is a major reason why St. Paul commands husbands to love their wives as Christ loves the Church. yes, that love is good and spiritually meritorious in and of itself, but cultivating that love is also an essential ingredient to loving the children that proceed from that union
