Triumphalistic Catholic apologetics is no longer a feasible model and if anything only damages our credibility to outside inquirers By this I of course don’t mean manifesting confidence about the truth of the Catholic faith; I rather mean a tendency to act as if all perceived barriers to conversion are squarely on the side of the inquirer and not in any way found in the unique challenges the Church is facing from within We have to be open and honest about the existence of these challenges and about the fact that our claims about the Church and the Papacy can at times be difficult to square with the concrete reality of the Church in which we find ourselves Only when we start off with that honesty can we show how despite these challenges, we still retain our well founded confidence in the divine institution of the Catholic Church

Some have promoted this idea of “exploiting the contradictions” within the American Left that have arisen during the Gaza Genocide— specifically the tenuous alliance between Left Wing American Jewry and the anticolonial black and brown progressives. I think the more effective strategy is to exploit the contradictions within the American Right by highlighting the un-Christian treatment of Palestinians by Israelis and the lunatic war-mongering by American Zionists. We can see the latter playing out as gentiles like Charlie Kirk and Alex Jones chafe at accusations of antisemitism for highlighting the peculiarity of the “security failure” on October 7th. Or with the simmering tension at DailyWire between gentiles Candace Owens and Matt Walsh, and the Jews Ben Shapiro and Andrew Klavan. This is also building on the success of “BanTheADL” as conservatives become cognizant of Jewish influence on the Left and Right, from both Soros and Netanyahu. The key distinction between these strategies is that the conflict between Left Wing Jewry and BLM will result in a victory for the Jews. Capitulation by Harvard, UPenn, and Columbia last week are an example of this. On the other hand, the emergent conflict between Right Wing Zionists and America First gentiles results in a victory for Americans as consciousness of Zionist influence rises… 🤔
