Forged Writing in the Name of God— Why the Bible’s Authors Are Not Who We Think They Are #Clear_answers #New_Muslims

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم {ٱقۡرَأۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ} In the Name of Allâh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful 1. *Read! In the Name of your Lord Who has created (all that exists).* [Al-‘Alaq:1] *Tafsir as Saadi* This soorah was the first soorah of the Qur'an to be revealed to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). It was revealed to him at the beginning of his prophethood, when he did not know anything about the Book or about faith. Jibreel(عليه السلام) came to him with the message and commanded him to recite, but he refused, saying, <

{This is) a Book (the Qur’ân) which We have sent down to you, full of blessings, that they may ponder over its Verses, and that men of understanding may remember.} (Surah Ṣād 38:29) This indicates the encouragement to reflect deeply upon the Qur’an (tadabbur), and that it is among the best of deeds. A recitation accompanied by reflection and contemplation is better than a fast recitation in which this purpose is not achieved. — As Saadi, Taysīr al-Karīm al-Raḥmān, p. 712

Assalamu alykum wa rahmatullahi wabarakatuh, *Sincerity: The Key to Accepted Deeds* Sincerity (Ikhlāṣ) is one of the greatest foundations of Islam and a condition for the acceptance of our deeds. A deed may appear great in the eyes of people, but if it is not done sincerely for Allah, it has no value with Him. Allah ﷻ says: “ *And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, being sincere to Him in religion.”* (Qur’an 98:5) The Prophet ﷺ said: *“Actions are judged only by intentions.”* (Bukhari and Muslim) Therefore, before we pray, give charity, teach, help others, or perform any good deed, we should ask ourselves: “ *Am I doing this for Allah, or for the praise of people?”* Let us renew our intentions regularly and ask Allah to purify our hearts and accept our deeds. *O Allah, make all our deeds sincerely for Your sake, and do not allow anyone else to have a share in them.
