Highlights from the documentary (time-stamps are approximate): 1:20 - Angela Merkel says it was Germany who instigated WW2. 4:00 - Weimar Republic fails. 5:30 - Social and economic boom of NS Germany cannot be denied. 7:15 - Saar Referendum stuns the French! 90.8% of the people of the Saar region vote to reunite with Germany. 7:45 - March 1, 1935 the Saar is restored to German sovereignty. 9:15 - France signs mutual assistance pact with USSR. This violates the Pact of Locarno. This puts a French/Soviet “ring” around Germany. Hitler is no longer obligated to honor the pact. 9:35 - March 7, 1936 Hitler orders German troops into the Rhineland. 11:00 - The Allies violate the Treaty of Versailles by not reducing their armed forces as agreed upon. 11:30 - In 1933 when Hitler comes to power the Allies are 12x superior to the Reich in terms of active army divisions. 16:00 - The Anschluss. 20:00 - German minorities in Czechoslovakia are oppressed. 21:00 - The Munich Agreement. Hitler is victorious. 26:25 - REASON 1 of the causes of WW2 — the Danzig question. 27:00 - REASON 2 of the causes of WW2 — the East Prussia question. 30:45 - Churchill states his intentions… “The German economy is to be completely smashed.” 33:45 - 80,000 Germans in refugee camps in the summer of ‘39. 34:15 - REASON 3 of the causes of WW2 — the misery of Germans within Polish borders. 48:45 - Bromberg Massacre. 1:03:00 - Italy declares war on France on June 20, 1940 after France was already defeated. The Germans gave the nickname “harvest helpers” to the Italians. 1:03:45 - Stalin breaks all non-aggression pacts with neighboring countries, yet the West remains silent. 1:08:15 - Churchill’s policy was war escalation at all costs. 1:10:00 - Hitler sees through Stalin’s deception. 1:10:30 - Diary entry of Dr. Goebbels (quoting Hitler): “We have to act now. Moscow will stay out of the war until Europe is exhausted, and bled to death. Then Stalin will Bolshevize Europe, and take over full control of Europe. Russia would prefer to attack us when we become weak, and then we will have a two-front war which I hope we can avoid with this preemptive action.” 1:11:50 - Hitler is forced to reinforce Italy’s forces in Greece and N. Africa, stretching supply lines. 1:14:00 - USSR military budget is 43% of GDP (!!!) 1:17:00 - Hitler orders a preemptive strike against the Soviet Union, and the Wehrmacht encounters the largest military force ever assembled in the history of mankind! 1:20:00 - The treatment of Partisans is a controversial issue, but Partisans violate Article 1 of the Haig Land Warfare Convention.
