The Singapore Red Cross (SRC) is stepping up its ground response to protect vulnerable seniors and at-risk groups as the worsening heat and haze threatens the health of vulnerable communities. Its expanded efforts are planned to reach 700 people across Singapore in its first trance of support.
This enhanced assistance builds on SRCβs Heat & Haze Response launched earlier in April 2026.

| 3 | The Singapore Red Cross (SRC) has committed an additional S$170,000 in humanitarian aid to support the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and partnersβ efforts on the ground, including water purification powders, water filters, and emergency food supplies. These efforts are on top of the SRCβs initial S$50,000 contribution to the response and relief efforts in Nepal.
Since the launch of the public fundraising appeal, the SRC has received more than S$3 million in donations.
Funds raised through SRCβs appeal will be channeled through the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement and other humanitarian partners on the ground to support relief and recovery efforts, guided by assessed needs.

| 11 | "In response to the 7.4 magnitude earthquake that struck western Colombia on 10 August 2026, Singapore Red Cross (SRC) has committed S$50,000 in humanitarian relief assistance to support Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement partners, including the Colombian Red Cross, in their immediate response efforts.
