The End of the Global Technocracy
The rest of the world is beginning to understand that it simply cannot use Clown World’s technology, no matter how alluring it might be. France just banned Windows from 2.5 million government computers. The reason is terrifying. The US sanctioned the International Criminal Court. Microsoft locked the chief prosecutor out of his email overnight. One […]

🚢 Hormuz crossings fall by half
Strait of Hormuz traffic declined sharply on 31 August, with five confirmed crossings, down 50% from 10 a day earlier. Four vessels entered the Middle East Gulf and one exited, using a mix of Iranian, Omani and negotiated routes. Two crossings involved shadow vessels and one involved a sanctioned vessel.
Bab el Mandeb activity was comparatively stable, with 35 confirmed crossings, up 2.9% day on day. Of these, 19 entered the Red Sea and 16 exited. No dark transits were recorded, while the International Maritime Organization verified no additional attacks.

🇺🇸🇮🇷⚡️ — President Trump on Iran:
They're a failed nation. They've got 350% inflation. They have no currency. They're not paying their soldiers. Their leaders are largely dead. Their Navy is gone. Their air force is gone. Their surveillance equipment is almost entirely gone. That doesn't mean we won't smack them. We'll see what happens. We have the Strait of Hormuz in extremely good shape. We've been averaging 30 ships a night.
Repost from Vault of Secrets - Unpopular History
In 1992, the US military and intelligence community actively recruited former Soviet military research facilities and weapons institutes, bringing hundreds of Soviet scientists onto the Pentagon payroll. The Soviet Scientists Immigration Act of 1992 (SSIA) facilitated this by providing 750 visas to eligible scientists and engineers from the former Soviet Union. The program expired in 1996, but legislation later extended eligibility until September 30, 2006, and increased the visa cap to 950.
Scientists who entered through other channels, such as exchange programs, temporary work visas, or refugee and family routes, also benefited, as the Act signaled an official preference for former Soviet scientists, easing their integration into US research efforts.
One notable example is Roald Sagdeev, a Soviet plasma physicist who married Susan Eisenhower, granddaughter of US President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Soviet aerospace engineers also assisted the US Air Force at Wright-Patterson Base. In the 1960s, a radar specialist at Lockheed’s Skunk Works recognized that Ufimtsev’s equations, translated from Russian, allowed precise calculations of radar wave reflections off flat panels. Lockheed used this Soviet mathematics to develop the F-117 Nighthawk stealth aircraft and the B-2 bomber. Following the Soviet collapse, Ufimtsev moved to the US, where his aerospace engineering concepts were integrated into US military research.

🇷🇸 🇧🇦 — Today, the Bosnian Serb General Ratko Mladić, considered a hero among Bosnian Serbs and a war criminal among Bosnian Muslims has passed away.
➡ Ratko Mladić was a Bosnian Serb General that fought in Serbian Krajina & Republika Srpska during the collapse of Yugoslavia against the Muslim Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Bosnian War, having fought against them even during the fateful Siege of Sarajevo and having participated in the Srebrenica massacre.
➡ In Bosnia and Herzegovina, despite his record, his legacy remains polarized. While Bosniak Muslims view him with horror and dread, Bosnian Serbs argue he defended Serbian civilians from a new genocide like that of WWII and peacefully evacuated civilians in many areas.
Regardless of what he may have engaged in or which perspective you take, he was a figure of history and there is a lesson to be learned.

👁 Pentagon covertly enlists military veteran influencers to sell endless wars and pump up Trump
As the US finds itself bogged down in its failing war on Iran, the Pentagon is secretly funneling conservative military veteran influencers with massive online followings into undisclosed civilian government jobs, reports The Washington Post.
Their goal is reportedly to amplify Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, whom House Democrats castigated for war crimes, and reckless conduct, and bulldozing Trump’s critics.
These influencers operate under official email addresses, yet neither the Pentagon nor those involved have disclosed their specific government roles.
The arrangement is striking for its secrecy.
🔶 Retired colonels Rob Maness and Kurt Schlichter are officially listed as civilian staffers under Anthony Tata, the undersecretary of defense for personnel and readiness, according to internal records
🔶 The email addresses carry a “.civ” suffix, marking the recipients as civilian employees - not military personnel or contractors
🔶 Maness commands more than 135,000 followers on X; Schlichter nearly 620,000
🔶 Retired Army colonel and influencer Thomas Anderson also appeared in Pentagon records earlier this year with a “.civ” email address, assigned to Tata’s office
🔶 Now an attorney, Anderson writes online under the pen name Cynical Publius and commands more than 323,000 followers on X. He has since vanished from Pentagon records
None of them reportedly disclosed their taxpayer-linked roles while posting in defense of Hegseth and Trump’s priorities.
The secretive hires come with the convenient government labels of "special government employees" or "highly qualified experts" - and for Kurt Schlichter, the database tags him with the "HQE" (Highly Qualified Expert) stamp.
Their playbook:
🔴 attack critics, defend “anti-woke” purges of military education, and cheerlead military action against Iran
🔴 scrutinize war colleges for supposed ideological contamination
🔴 Schlichter hailed Trump as a “hero for finally fighting back against Iran”
🔴 Maness wrote that Hegseth must root out “disloyal” career officials
🔴 Anderson has described a “cancer” in the ranks that must be excised
Their messaging comes as the US struggles to sell its wars—and Hegseth has already purged much of the traditional Pentagon press corps, replacing it with more compliant voices, as reported here.

🇮🇱🇹🇷🇮🇷 Thousands of Kurdish fighters were trained inside Israel for a ground offensive into Iran
The Kurdish forces were supposed to enter the country after airstrikes opened a route through the Kurdistan region, coupled with widespread anti-regime protests.
Days after the campaign began, the White House realized that anti-regime protests never came, and ordered Israel to halt the Kurdish advance, partly also due to Turkish opposition. – Israeli Channel 13
