Don’t Let Them Forget 2020 Great thread on X recapping some of the keys issues from 2020 in Arizona — one of the few places that (begrudgingly) allowed a forensic audit of paper ballots. Maricopa County evaded and stonewalled the state Senate’s requests at every step, and did little to remedy the major issues discovered. Atty Ryan Heath on Maricopa County: They're potentially swapping out ballots "The longer it takes, the longer MC has to illegally erase & retabulate the already tabulated ballots from its Election Day vote centers. Here’s a sworn affidavit from MC’s Election Director admitting that this is happening right now, and here’s a link to MC’s chair of Board of Supervisors (Bill Gates) admitting in 2022 that doing so is illegal (FYI, he’s a Harvard Educated attorney, so he knows what he’s saying when he admits the practice is unlawful). For the record, they did this for 44 vote centers following the '22 General Election and at nearly a dozen vote centers following the '24 Primary Election. Here’s why this matters: None of the folks that cast ballots at the impacted vote centers can be sure that their votes were counted as originally cast and it is entirely possible for actors within MC to swap the ballots out and change election results. Given that MC makes up 60+% of AZ’s voting population, this is a big deal."
