Repost from Wonder Soul 💭
No matter how much you prepared or meditated on, death will always be an exhilarating surprise for the ordinary soul
Sometime ago, my habit of observing nature came off as bizarre to people. If you pay enough attention to my words you’re most probably to find, the sky, strangers, kids and many other unnoticeable things in them.
Days stop being unproductive and dull once you learn to stop rushing into the future and running back to the past.
Coffee houses are everywhere, go out, order a coffee or whatever, sit by a spot with a good view of the outside and sit with your AirPods, watch human beings just exist, connect with your aliveness.
There’s so much to do, a lot to read and learn, existence isn’t supposed to be miserable. Well, sometimes :)
I used to find his songs depressing when my mom and aunt used to listen to them every morning.
I played this song this morning in our dorm room and Ku’ye said “you start understanding these songs life ሲገባሽ" we laughed about it because we had the same experience with Asfaw’s songs, now after facing actual አባጣ ጎርባጣዎች, lonely days and nights, ለሰው የማይነገሩ heartbreaks, and all the war inside our heads
One moment you’ll feel like your heart is being torn out of your body and tomorrow you’re so different that you wouldn’t recognize yourself.
Moving on ደስ ሲል :)
“ፍርግርግ might be an old lady as you explained, with a faded violet(that almost lost it's color) cloak.
ወህኒ though is some thin guy with a wrinkled face and baggy pants but has a creepy smile on his face
ሽፍታነት is a dark grey man who walks tilted to one side and has bold but ስርጉድ eyes, he can't smile and his clothes are always እየተውለበለቡ with the wind.”
From a subscriber.
I mean read, ፍርግርግ... ሽፍታነት they all sound so serious and if they had faces I imagine them as cranky old ladies who are unsatisfied with their lives and bug their daughters to live a life they didn’t. But there’s some beautiful depth to them no? They make you think about so many memories and crack your wounds open. How is it this powerful?
Welcome your bad days with an embrace so warm even if they leave you wounded and bleeding, the scars will be reminders of your decision to keep moving and accept life as it is.
እንጃ it’s honestly so devastating to see what being culture and norm wired has done to us.

Listen to your gut feelings.
All the negative thoughts ከነምናምኑ ሳይሆን you’ll know which one is sound or not if you sit through it well.
It’s there for a reason.
