MY THOUGHTS ON DIVORCE (Part II)
I took notes from your stories, asked a wise woman I call my mother about it and came back with a bit of perspective alterations lol
Should divorce be advocated for? No.
But is it the only choice in some circumstances and right? Yes, definitely.
A marriage should be a union of understanding, decency, respect and most of all LOVE.
Life as an individual gets bumpy and too much to bear let alone having another personâs life on your responsibility table and taking care of them. But it doesnât mean one should give in to these obstacles and give up on their family.
Try all the alternatives that seem as helpful to mend the broken parts of the marriage and family, ask for help (family therapy) or friends and more.
But when all these donât seem to work out, divorce seems the only option.
The marriage could be consuming the living energy out of the partners, their inner peace, mental health, and all the good things about them.
And as a family the more the marriage sustains the more itâs putting everyone involved at risk, partners and their children.
If all options are run out of and the heart states what it wants, maybe divorce is the right/only choice.

Iâll recommend some instagram accounts for you to follow to satisfy your cravings of well written pieces as well as poetry collections :)
No one is coming to save you. Get up. Your sadness isn't poetic. It's not even beautiful. You can't even see yourself rotting away waiting for a knight in shining armor. Get rid of the "if I get bad enough they might care" mentality. Finding beauty in sadness may keep you going but sadness isn't beautiful. You can take your time to heal but don't you dare choose to wallow in your depression and wait for something to magically cure you.
âItâs easy when weâre on the outside to believe that we would walk away without a second thought if a person mistreated us. Itâs easy to say we couldnât continue to love someone who mistreats us when we arenât the ones feeling the love of that person.â
