In short:
The Nandan Nilekani task force on exam reforms is looking at a secure digital "question vault". Over 1 lakh vetted and translated questions would be stored through the year, and each paper would be picked at random from that pool just before the exam and sent out digitally, so there's no fixed paper to leak or sell.
It's also discussing "debundling": question setting, exam centres, conduct and security would go to separate agencies, so no single provider controls the whole process.
The NEET-UG leak is cited as the trigger. The article says a translator allegedly memorised questions and sold them.
SSC already runs something similar. It doesn't print papers; questions sit in an internal digital vault and the paper is put together close to exam time.
Experts quoted say the vault alone isn't enough. The whole chain needs encryption, controlled access and audit trails.
