StandWithUs Statement on UK Sanctions on Israel.
This is a sad day in the history of British foreign policy. StandWithUs deplores and condemns the announcement of trade sanctions targeting Israeli communities in the West Bank/Judea & Samaria and eastern Jerusalem. It is an unjust, discriminatory and counterproductive measure that risks damaging prospects for peace rather than advancing them. Measures of this kind place pressure overwhelmingly on one side of a deeply complex conflict while doing nothing to address Palestinian incitement, terrorism, or rejectionism. Rather than encouraging Palestinian leadership to work towards peace, sanctions risk reinforcing those who believe international pressure can replace negotiation, compromise, and direct engagement.

🚨 A Palestinian terrorist attacked and stabbed Elhanan Hanania, an IDF soldier, in the West Bank/Judea and Samaria this morning - as he was on his way to celebrate his wedding anniversary with his family.
Hanania had stopped near the village of Auja to buy cigarettes. Waiting in the car were his pregnant wife, their two young daughters, and his father-in-law. The terrorist attacked him from behind, stabbing him multiple times in the shoulder and body. His older daughter witnessed everything.
Hanania is currently at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem in moderate condition with a fractured shoulder and internal bleeding. "He is in a lot of pain and it is hard for him to speak," said his brother.
Eight hours after the attack, the IDF and Shin Bet located and arrested the terrorist.

In June 1982, just ten days before the end of his military service, he went into battle at Sultan Yaakov during the First Lebanon War. On June 11, 1982, only hours before a ceasefire was declared, Yehuda went missing alongside fellow soldiers Sgt. First Class Zachary Baumel and Sgt. First Class Zvi Feldman.
In 2019, after 37 long years, the remains of Zachary Baumel were brought home. In 2025, after 43 years, Zvi Feldman finally returned as well. And now, after 44 years, Yehuda has come home too thanks to a special mission conducted by the IDF and the Mossad. Today, Yehuda Katz can finally be laid to rest in Israel.
