“Merve Akyıldız Balkan&Pop Band” is a Balkan based project as Balkan pop style consisting of cover songs from Turkey, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Greece with also Merve Akyıldız’s own songs.
It is a music group that combines folkloric songs in pop, jazz, acapella, ethnic and electronic. The project, which both delights the listener with rhythmic melodies and makes them feel deeply sad, unites, people in common feelings with theme of peace in the World.

Marmalsana is a fusion of influences, given that Tony Elieh moved to Berlin from Beirut and Maurice Louca from Cairo, both developing new techniques inspired by the musical richness and encounters that Berlin offers to artists. Burkhard Beins is one of the founders of the Echtzeitmusik movement, which has influenced many other musicians and scenes around the world.
Their music represents all these backgrounds, styles, and influences, fueled by the expertise and experience of each musician. They are merging their individual contributions into a unified whole, iridescently moving between distinct placements of sound and moments beyond instrumental recognisability.

Yegor Zabelov is a unique Belarusian accordion player.
Zabelov devotes his work to exploring the possibilities of the instrument in which he specializes, often reaching its limits. In his hands, the accordion becomes a tool for creating mystical experiences, and performances take the form of a musical ritual.
His music is an experimental mix of accordion ambient, avant-garde jazz and neo-classical.

With the help of the fairy Marie, children are immersed in the story and become its heroes. They will help Snow White get through the dark forest, learn the song of the dwarves and wake the princess from the evil spell.
Children will interact with the actors, performing various tasks and solving simple problems. They will meet different characters, learn to distinguish between good and evil, and also find friends among other participants of the play.
The performance is in Russian, without translation.

HER LENS, HER STORY: JEMENI FILM SCREENING // #PANDAglobal

The one-day festival “Her Lens, Her Story” offers a rich and nuanced reflection of the everyday realities of Yemeni women.
This event, organized by Yemen Art Base (YAB), is centered on the screening of a series of short films followed by a panel discussion to address the various challenges faced by female artists. In parallel to the screenings the exhibition of nine emerging female photographers is going to showcase the complexity and richness of Yemeni life from a female perspective.
You are also going to be carried away by the soulful sounds of Yemeni music along with the aromas of traditional Yemeni snacks. The musical interludes provide a perfect cultural backdrop and enrich the festival with a live performance of songs by Abdu B as well as selected DJ songs by Al Doba3i.

A duo for piano and trombone that defies jazz music generations.
The exceptional trombonist Bauer (born in 1943), an influential figure in the DDR jazz landscape, has a long history with the constantly changing Berlin improvisation scene. In duo with Louis Rastig (born in 1987), probably his most genre-breaking to date, this connection takes on a new, contemporary dimension.
With an incomparable sensitivity for dynamics and dramaturgy, created in real time sound worlds move innovatively between the tradition of avant-garde jazz and the aesthetics of contemporary Creative Music.

UMZ UMZ is a project that brings newcomers to the music scene together with experienced DJs and gives them space to experiment. Here, the DJs who are forced to play last at commercial venues get the prime spot, and those who are used to headlining have the creative freedom to experiment beyond the usual boundaries of the Berlin dance scene.
After our first UMZ UMZ in April, we thought about how we could improve our party. This time we promise you: more ooomph, more wub and most importantly: even more secret acts to shake things up.

Based in Berlin (Europe’s secret capital of Klezmer and Yiddish music), YSKFI takes us on an emotional journey into Yiddishland.
Their recording, IT’S KLEZMER!, is inspired by Klezmer music from the first half of the 20th century and songs played at weddings and festivities in East European shtetls. This is a band for the whole family that will make you want to get up and dance!💃🏻🕺🏻

Ido Bukelman is a guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and composer-improviser. His work combines elements of modern music, free-jazz and blues with oriental-folk tradition. Over the past 15 years he has been on an expressive musical journey, playing countless solo concerts in Europe and Israel, dipping his hands in fire and blood to find a new melody.
Especially for this evening at PANDA platforma, Ido invited two of his favorite musicians to join together for a colorful and uncompromising electro-acoustic journey.
