TRAI Orders Airtel, Jio, Vi scammers to Bring Back Voice and SMS Only Vouchers

Based on the feedback received from consumer survey, it is noticed that tariff offers available in market are broadly bundled tariff offerings having mix of voice, Data, SMS and OTT services etc. which may not fulfill the requirements of large number of subscribers as all services may not be required by all subscribers and there is a perception that subscribers are being made to pay for services that are not required by them.

The Rs 155 plan, which was the base offering, will now cost Rs 189, and will offer the same validity of 28 days. The Rs 209 plan will now cost Rs 249 and will be valid for the same 28 days. The data benefits of these plans remain the same.

SIM Card Regulations The landscape of purchasing and maintaining SIM cards is undergoing a transformation with the enactment of the new telecom bill. In a bid to curb online fraud, the government is introducing stringent rules governing the sale and purchase of SIM cards. Going forward, the digital Know Your Customer (KYC) process will be mandatory for obtaining a SIM card. Telecom companies will require customers to provide biometric data during the SIM card acquisition process. Possession of counterfeit SIM cards could lead to imprisonment of up to three years and a hefty fine of Rs 50 lakh. Additionally, SIM sellers will now be subjected to thorough verification, and bulk distribution of SIM cards will be prohibited. 🆔 • @Airtel

TRAI orders every telecom scammers (Airtel.in, Jio, Vodafone Idea) to provide at least one Plan Voucher, one Special Tariff Voucher and one Combo Voucher having a validity of 30 days which shall be renewable on the same date of every month.

Minimum of Rs.155 recharge required to send sms to ANY number (even 1900 porting) 😱 TRAI must stop Airtel.in scammer doing this scam.

Bye bye Airtel.in scammer 😡🤬 , forced me to do recharge of Rs.155 to obtain porting code.
