Evil happens when people let it happen, and our best defence against it is never to forget where evil leads. That is why it is so important to commemorate International Holocaust Memorial Day and the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz on 27th January. #WeRemember #HMD2020

As we observe Asara bâTevet, the day which marks the beginning of the siege of Jerusalem, here is a short idea from Rabbi Sacks about the two ways we can view the idea of being under siege, and what this can tell us about the situation in the Jewish world today. Once youâve had a chance to listen to the audio, you might wish to watch (or re-watch) a short animation we put out in 2015 called âWhy I am a Jewâ which you can find below. In addition, you may also be interested to read Rabbi Sacksâ recent article on the rise of antisemitism around the world, particularly in America, why it is happening now, and what we should be doing in response. You can read the article here: https://bit.ly/35vuEqZ.
We wish you all a Tzom kal, an easy Fast.
