Nextcloud on digital ocean or hosted provider
What do I need to know in order to manage and keep secure a nextcloud instance on a small VPS eg digitalocean?
I have used linux and basic command line usage but am not a systems admin by any stretch of the imagination.
Should I look instead for a hosted provider?

Wiki.js - Images broken on pages
We are a small IT team that was looking for a place for documentation.
I installed Wiki.js and got started on building pages. Shortly after, we decided to move it from one host to another. This made it change VLANs, and that means the IP had to change. This is DHCP, not static. Not long after this, I looked at a doc, and the pictures were broken. Best I could tell, the assets are fine, and there is no storage issue. I ended up looking at the page source, and I noticed the images are using an IP address to display them. Being this IP Address is the old IP of the server, they are broken.
>example: <figure class="image"><img src="http://10.24.17.7/lib/exe/fetch.php?media=557b1e032849026a62bd87c0e803ee1b.png" alt=""></figure>
How do I fix this for all pages?

What are some good online courses to learn more about self hosting?
I recently set up a NUC with Proxmox. Is there a good online course where I could learn more about file systems/storage, networking, etc. I'm a software engineer by day, so I know Linux basics and such. Just want to learn more to secure my server.

platform to report problems
hey, I'm looking for a selfhosted solution -preferably it has docker image- to make user report issues by typing the details and they can see if it was solved or not by checking on which column it is. Like trello.
I checked all the solutions on https://github.com/awesome-selfhosted/awesome-selfhosted and I decided to use Zammad but I didn't like it nor the users did.

Are there any better solutions ?

Thanks in advance

PDF Search - Semantic search using Jina(AI search framework)
Source Code on Github
Recently made another project using Jina to search a repository of PDF files. This project allows a user to query the data by providing text, or an image, or both simultaneously. You can search in text, image and pdf type of data.
### How to use it?
Clone the project and add your pdf files to
toy_data folder and run following commands
# Install requirements
pip install -r requirements.txt
# Start the server
python app.py -t query_restful
# Query via REST API
curl --request POST -d '{"top_k": 10, "mode": "search", "data": ["jina hello multimodal"]}' -H 'Content-Type: application/json' 'http://0.0.0.0:45670/api/search'
For now, you have to setup your own front-end using these APIs but I'm working on building a front-end for this. I will host that front-end on cloud so you can try it out before setting up your own self hosted instance. I'll share that by month end.
Let me know your feedback and what would you use this project for, anything you wish to see in the front-end

Ubooquity just stopped working?
I'm running windows 10, 64 bit. I have a nighthawk r8000 with ports 2202-2203 forwarded from my desktop computer with all of my comics on it.
I was running openwrt, but then the wifi calling in my house started to suffer, so I went back to stock firmware.
I've adjusted the ip addresses, made my pc ip static.
I can access it from within my network on Kuboo, but now if I disconnect the wifi on my phone, I can't connect. I don't know what is going on here, but it's very aggravating. I can't figure out what the hell I did wrong to make it stop working... BTW... When I originally got the r8000, I did use ubooquity then, too, flawlessly.

Homer dashboard Stats widget
As requested in the original post, here is the API I created to show Stats in Homer dashboard.
The API is fetching stats from Glances for CPU, Memory and Processes. qBittorrent for download and upload and Speedtest-tracker for Down and Up speed. You can add any app you want of your choice.
The message section in config.yml should be like this
message:
url: "http://ipofapi:port/stats"
style: "is-primary table is-bordered is-fullwidth" # See https://bulma.io/documentation/components/message/#colors for styling options.
content: "Message could not be loaded"

Using URL locally
Hey guys, I've a really noob question. I'm using my RaspberryPi at home for different services. It can't be accessed from outside and I don't want to change that. What I would love to have is a custom URL, son instead of 192.161.1.1 I could use something like myhome.com. So if I purchase domain, then I could set up to use it like I mentioned it above?

Access PhotoPrism locally
I'm a noob at self hosting. Right now I have a computer with syncthing and PhotoPrism as an alternative to Google Photos. I can access PhotoPrism using the computer's local up address, but I'd prefer to do something like http://photos:2342 instead of http://192.168.1.19:2342.
That way it's easier to use and ideally still works if the local address changes. Does anyone have a simple and lightweight solution to this?

Selfhosted fast logger / journal
Hi y'all.
My work is getting pretty chaotic because of small todo's coming from various places , that I do A LOT in one day, but at the end of the day I'm left clueless to what all was said & done. Doing the lets write this down on paper usually results in more chaos and bad traceability. Is there a selfhosted quick logbook/journal. Ideally it would be a one click entry that logs date and time, the description, a few tags (todo, project X , ...) and maybe an overall category (work/private). so an easy input would be pregerable (dfgdf tab dsgdsfgd tab enter) , and ofcourse a good chronological view. Having checkmarkable categories would be nice.

Anyone know something like this? The stuff I found was overly complicated or dated.

Thanks a bunch!

Self hosting server/direct IP gaming data usage?
For the old games that don't have dedicated servers anymore, how much data would it use to have a direct IP game of Madden 08 or NFL Head Coach for PC?

How to make Dockerized web service reachable via VPN only?
Does anyone know how to make a Dockerized local hosted web service connected to a domain "service.example.com" from namecheap reachable ONLY through Wireguard?
Im planning to deploy bitwarden in docker.
Everything is hosted on my raspberry pi 4 (Raspbian os 64x) but i want to make it couple of specific services reachable via wireguard ONLY.
Note: Because im running a lot of services i already have nginx proxy manager as an entry point.
Please provide helpful suggestions, and try to avoid suggestions that involve installing programs or services on bare metal.
Just to let you know im more comfortable with docker-compose & protainer than normal docker
Thanks in advance.

Person "omnichannel" or "multichannel" communication self hosted solution?
Is there any solution that is designed for personal use to communicate with contacts across multiple platforms?
Ideally, the app would allow you to see a cohesive communication history with a contact across multiple platforms in a single view.
Ive used Rambox in the past but this only provides a singular platform with multiple portals across multiple communication channels (email, facebook messages, text messages, whatever service you can access via web browser)
The only things I have seen that have this "omni/multi channel" ability are only at the commercial level and our built for customer service and sales.
Any thing out there for personal use or something close to it?
**Typo in title... should be Personal

homelab IPAM solution: Netbox or PHPipam?
Started looking at IPAM tracking for my homelab, looks like NETBOX and PHP-IPAM are the most robust. They also integrate with Proxmox SDN (https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/chapter-pvesdn.html#pvesdn\_ipam\_plugin\_pveipam)
Primary benefit I want is automatic tracking of hosts that come up.
Which one do you recommend and why?

S3 object storage
Looking for a self hosting S3 object storage. I was intrigued by MiniIO. However, I want to start small and build up. During these times, I don't want a huge hardware investment. From what I can see from MiniIO it required a minimum of 4 servers each having at least 8 drives and 128GB RAM.
Anyone familiar with other possible solutions that don't have as much up front cost?
Purpose of implementation is to storage customer server backups. This would be file as well as Exchange databases.
Thanks.
