WhiteOak Capital Mutual Fund won't launch a smallcap fund but rather going for a Smallcap Fund of Fund, which will invest in other AMC's smallcaps. It's not too bad, to be honest. Anyway smallcap fund investors keep changing their funds; here they would get an expert doing it for them in a tax-efficient manner. Anyway, data is very clear - 60-70% smallcap fund AUM will underperform the Nifty Midcap 150 index. - @InvestRepeat

Interesting filing from WhiteOak Capital Mutual Fund. They have filed for a Diversified Equity Small Cap Active Fund of Fund. Means this FoF will invest in other actively managed smallcap funds. WhiteOak themselves doesn't run any smallcap fund & it seems like they have no intention of launching one anytime soon. - @InvestRepeat

Many don’t yet realise that the more AUM arbitrage funds as a category get, the overall returns of the entire category decreases. Arbitrage disappears with more money flowing in. Contrary point: Maybe due to lower return some AUM moves out to debt funds and it self balances. - @InvestRepeat
