āWaqt tha, guzar gayaāāTime slips through our fingers as we juggle endless syllabi, mocks, and revisions. Days become weeks, weeks become months, and before you know it, another year passes by
āWada tha, toot gayaāāThe promises we made to ourselvesāto stay consistent, to push harder, to not get distractedāoften break under the weight of self-doubt, anxiety, and fear of failure
āDil tha, pighal gayaāāThe heart feels heavy with every missed cut-off, every result that didnāt meet our expectations.
Just two years ago, I thought I was close to my dream to be a civil servantāalmost there, within touching distance. I could see it, feel it. And now? Now, those dreams feel shattered. Not a day has gone by when I donāt think about what couldāve been. UPSC does that to youāit lingers, it consumes you, and even when you try to move on, it leaves pieces of itself behind.
Even this mentoring journey Iāve taken upāIām not sure if itās good for my mental health (I am really not feeling well lately). I mean, I genuinely want to see many of you succeed, to create a new wave of officers who might one day say, āYes, this guy played a small role in my journey.ā But sometimes, deep down, I wonder: What am I even doing with my life right now?
The truth is, Iām just as clueless as many of you feel. There are days I question everythingāthe path I took, the time I invested, and even this new direction Iāve chosen. But here I am, hoping that a few years down the line, your successes might give me the closure I need. And maybe, after that, Iāll leave this space for some new pastures, wherever life takes me next. (Yes i don't plan to stay here)
One thing I know for sure: social media is draining. Constantly being present, responding, engagingāitās taking a toll on my mental health. Iāll need to take breaks now and then, even from Telegram. But that doesnāt mean Iām not here for you, it only means i'm human! (but are you all also there for me? Are we a family?)
