Gerund: verb+ing وقتی به فعل -ing اضافه می کنیم، در واقع تبدیل میشه به مصدر که کاربردهای مختلفی داره. یکی از کاربردهاش، استفاده در اول جمله به عنوان فاعل هست. قوانین Gerund در اول جمله: 🔴وقتی جمله با Gerund شروع می‌شه، اون عبارت نقش فاعل داره. 👉Reading books is my favorite hobby. کتاب خواندن سرگرمی مورد علاقه‌ی من است. 🔵 مصدر همیشه با فعل مفرد (is, was, etc.) میاد چون خودش مثل یه اسم مفرده. 👉Eating too much causes health problems. زیاد خوردن باعث مشکلات سلامتی می‌شود. 🟢اگر جمله با Gerund شروع بشه، معمولاً بعدش کاما نمی‌ذاریم. 👉Watching movies helps me relax. فیلم دیدن باعث آرامشم میشه. ⚠️البته اگر بعدش توضیح بیشتری بخوایم بدیم میشه استفاده شه. 👉Watching movies, especially comedies, helps me relax. فیلم دیدن، مخصوصاً فیلم های کمدی، باعث آرامشم میشه. 🟡 فاعلِ اصلی جمله نباید با Gerund اشتباه گرفته بشه یعنی اگر می‌خوای مشخص کنی چه کسی اون کار رو انجام می‌ده، باید قبلش ضمیر ملکی بیاری. مقایسه کنید: 👉Singing annoys me. آواز خواندن منو اذیت می کنه. 👉His singing annoys me. آواز خواندنِ او منو اذیت می‌کنه.
