tldr: Whop'dan $500,000 investitsiya oldik. Our mission: make it easy for anyone to build and monetize software. Creators have ideas and audiences. What they don't have is a way to ship real products without code, without hiring, without jumping through hoops. Surgent changes that. Describe what you want. We build it. You sell it. We handle payments and hosting. No Stripe. No coding knowledge. We're hiring. surgent.dev @benrov

The market desperately needs generalist designers & creative directors. Design got fragmented over time into graphic, UI, UX, motion, brand, just like engineering split into frontend, backend, mobile, and web. The difference is that in today’s AI-driven startups, engineering adapted. Founders hire 10x engineers who can move fast, use AI tools, and ship an insane amount of work without constant handoffs. Design hasn’t caught up the same way. When you’re building a startup, you don’t have time to coordinate multiple specialists or wait for polished deliverables. You need someone who can think about the product as a whole, make design decisions quickly, and iterate every day. That means understanding users, product, brand, and business at the same time, not in isolation. This is what 10x designers look like, and why modern startups need them just as much as they need 10x engineers. I don’t know a single “10x designer.” How did we end up here?

Join the bubble now or it’ll be late.

two things that opened a lot of doors for me: 1. learning english 2. using twitter

Misalignment creates resentment, and resentment kills startups faster than running out of money.

Crazy ambitious is the baseline in San Francisco. People here aren’t chasing comfort they’re here because everyone is equally insane. Your Uber driver is building an AI app. The person next to you in a coffee shop just raised a Series A. Someone at the gym is pitching their YC interview story mid-set. The energy here is different. People are constantly experimenting, failing, iterating, shipping, dreaming. You feel pressure, but the good kind. The kind that forces you to level up just by being in the room. Crazy ambitious isn’t the ceiling. It’s the baseline. And that’s why everyone here feels one step away from something big.

It’s better to have a small piece of a big pie than a large piece of a small one. When you start moving fast, smaller markets react. That’s expected. You’re not really competing with them, you’re just playing on a different scale. It’s easy to get noticed locally. It’s harder to build something the whole world cares about, but that’s what lasts.
