| 2 | The Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said:
“Whomsoever eats some food then says:
‘All Praise be to Allāh Who has fed me this and provided me with it with no power or strength on my part’, his previous sins will be forgiven.”

People’s difference of age which you come across wherever you go,
is a display reminding you of what has passed of your age and will not come back,
and what is remaining of your age and should not be wasted.

Oh Allah I am weak, so make me strong. I am harsh, so make me gentle (kind, lenient on others). And I am miserly, so make me generous.

| 10 | Those whose hearts Allah has tested for Taqwa:
Ibn Kathir mentioned the following narration in the first section of his tafsir of surah al-Hujurat:
Imam Ahmad said in his “Kitab al-Zuhd” that Mujahid said:
Somebody wrote to ‘Umar saying: O Ameer al-Mu’mineen, who is better a man who does not desire to commit a sin and so does not or a man who does desire to commit a sin but does not act on it?
‘Umar wrote back: Those who desire to commit a sin but do not act on it are
those whose hearts Allah has tested for taqwa They will have forgiveness and a tremendous reward. [49:3] | 69 |

Purifying the Heart
Imām Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaimeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
"Whoever purifies his heart, verily Allah will grant him insight until he recognizes with it the sins and transgressions in himself to the extent that he is not satisfied or comfortable with it. And this is a favor of Allah upon mankind...

| 16 | The first of Satan’s restrictions on man is restricting the tongue from remembrance of Allah.
If the tongue is restricted, the pillars surrender.
Allah Almighty said:
“Satan took possession of them and made them forget the remembrance of Allah .”
Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
“The most severe punishment in this world is for Allah to hold your tongue from mentioning Him.”
O Allah, help us to remember You, thank You, and worship You well.
