| 8 | I wrote about how many interview rounds you would like to go through because my team is looking for new team members. And when I was interviewing for my current role, I had more interview rounds than other candidates. I remember that I have around 4 rounds. And they all made sense to me.
But now, when I am on the opposite side of the interview process, I notice one thing I would like candidates to do. Please, ask your future teammates some questions, there is always time for such questions: about the work, what they like, and maybe, what they do not like about it. It’s good when the hiring manager answers all your questions about the project and company, but it could be possible that you won’t work closely with them. But, for sure, closely with possible teammates. At the same time, asking questions gives you more scores and shows your interest in the role. What is gender discrimination?
Gender discrimination is when someone is treated unequally or disadvantageously based on their gender but not necessarily in a sexual nature. This includes harassment/discrimination based on sex, gender identity, or gender expression. Gender discrimination is often rooted in preconceived, false societal and personal notions about what gender is, how gender "should" look, or how gender is performed. For example, many people inaccurately believe that someone's biological sex always determines their gender and, therefore, their attitudes and behaviors.
However, it is never okay to act unfavorably towards someone else based on their gender or what you perceive their gender to be.

Why did I decide to write about it one more time?
Simple answer, I saw an article about this woman who switched to tech from a different field.
And the author of this article wrote the next sentence:
“After returning home, she realized that IT is not for boys and “nerds” only, and that is where her IT career begins.”
Maybe it’s time to stop talking about this old stereotype, that the tech field is for boys and nerds, it's not helpful.
Maybe it’s time to stop dividing fields for men and women.
Maybe it’s time to create a new healthy way of greeting people in a field.
Maybe it’s time to normalize that the tech field is for everyone.
