U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) destroyed five Iranian crude oil tankers overnight, after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeted a U.S. Navy warship with ballistic missiles twice over the past two days.
“Let the message to the IRGC be clear: If you shoot at two of our ships, we will impose an even higher economic cost – taking out three of yours,” Cooper said on Saturday. “We will not hesitate to defend American forces, and if necessary, destroy Iran’s limited and exposed oil fleet.”
However, in response to those IRGC attacks, the U.S. military struck five Iranian tankers after first contacting the ships and instructing the crew to abandon the vessels.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar announced a series of harsh diplomatic moves against the United Kingdom on Tuesday in response to Great Britain announcing trade sanctions as part of a “comprehensive reset” of policy towards Israel by the Labour government.
Israel will close the British Consulate in Jerusalem, remove British representatives from the International Gaza Support Center in Kiryat Gat, terminate the UK's training of Palestinian Authority forces in Judea and Samaria (West Bank), and ban 12 elected representatives and other British nationals involved in antisemitic and anti-Israel activity.

On the tenth anniversary of the death of former Israeli President and Prime Minister Shimon Peres, the Peres Center archive has revealed excerpts from a dramatic 1993 meeting between Peres and Jordan’s King Hussein.
The mustache and hair were fake, intended to hide Peres’ identity, while the two leaders discussed the path to a historic peace agreement between the countries, which were technically still at war.
In October 1994, less than one year after Peres and Hussein's secret meeting, a formal peace agreement between Israel and Jordan was signed in Wadi Arava, located near the border south of the Dead Sea.

After catheterization failed, doctors determined Hur needed emergency surgery, but now the hospital management also refused to accept her without official government authorization.
“Refusing to treat children because they were born in Gaza is discriminatory,” said Miles. “We can't love Israel and turn a blind eye when there's unjust discrimination going on.”

Mike Huckabee, U.S. Ambassador to Israel, indicated that the U.S. may take retaliatory steps against the UK, describing the move as “irrational.” He joined the Israel Foreign Ministry’s criticism of Miliband for repeating stories rather than proven facts, and accused the Labour government of “Jew hate.”

Reuters reported that Albanese said multiple sources had confirmed Israeli companies were involved in the clearance, but she did not identify those sources. Her office did not immediately respond to questions about the basis for the claim. Israel did not respond to Reuters' request for comment and has previously rejected Albanese's criticism.

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham defended his government’s new sanctions targeting Israeli settlements, saying the UK had delayed taking stronger action because of concerns that it would be perceived as hostility toward Israel.
“For far too long, we hesitated to act for fear of being accused of anti-Israelism,” Burnham wrote on X. He said the measures were not aimed at Israeli citizens but at “the unacceptable policies of the current Israeli government.”
Burnham described Palestinian suffering as “a stain on the world’s conscience” and said his government would not stand by as suffering in Gaza continued and prospects for a two-state solution diminished.
At the same time, Burnham reiterated his condemnation of Hamas and the Oct. 7 massacre and rejected attempts to blame British Jews for Israeli government policy. “Holding British Jews accountable for the actions of Netanyahu’s government is antisemitism, plain and simple,” he said.

How much will SNAP benefits increase?

In the 48 contiguous states and Washington, D.C., maximum SNAP benefits will increase starting October 1, 2026. Here's how that breaks down by household size:
