Une nuit, un certain dévot priait à haute voix, lorsque Satan lui apparut et lui dit :
"Combien de temps vas-tu crier :
'Ô Allah' ?
Tais-toi, car tu n'obtiendras aucune réponse."
Le dévot baissa la tête en silence. Peu de temps après, il eut une vision du prophète Khadir, qui lui dit :
« Ah, pourquoi as-tu cessé d'invoquer Dieu ?"
"Parce que la réponse 'Me voici' n'est pas venue", a-t-il répondu.
Khadir dit : « Dieu m'a ordonné d'aller vers toi et de te dire ceci :
"'N'est-ce pas moi qui t'ai appelé au service ?
Ne t'ai-je pas occupé avec mon nom ?
Ton appel "Allah!" C'était mon "Me voici"
Ta douleur ardente, Mon messager pour toi.
De toutes ces larmes, ces cris et ces supplications
J'étais l'aimant et je leur ai donné des ailes.'"

Jalaluddin teaches that man's love is really the effect of God's love by means of an apologue. One night a certain devotee was praying aloud, when Satan appeared to him and said:
"How long wilt thou cry, 'O Allah'? Be quiet, for thou wilt get no answer." The devotee hung his head in silence. After a little while he had a vision of the prophet Khadir, who said to him, "Ah, why hast thou ceased to call on God?" "Because the answer 'Here am I' came not," he replied. Khadir said, "God hath ordered me to go to thee and say this:
"'Was it not I that summoned thee to service?
Did not I make thee busy with My name?
Thy calling "Allah!" was My "Here am I,"
Thy yearning pain My messenger to thee.
Of all those tears and cries and supplications
I was the magnet, and I gave them wings.'"

Sufis are faqeers. The word ‘faqr’ signifi es – fasting in the name of the Lord, contentment, persistence and perseverance in prayers with fortitude and patience, subjugation of despicable elements, total faith in the will of Supreme Being – Allah, to practice pure thought and to lead a life of truth to achieve a blissful life.
One who practices regularly these four qualities and leads a pious life of dedication and total surrender to Allah is a Sufi and a faqeer.
To become a ‘faqeer’, to practice ‘faqr’ and ‘faqa’ to walk on the path of ‘Tariqath’ to achieve ‘marifat- e-elahi’, then one has to start his journey by truly embracing ‘Tawheed’ and accepting the Risalat of Prophet Mohammed sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
A Faqeer is a totally a surrendered soul with deep piety, humility and sincere to the core with absolute love for Allah, His Prophets pbut and for the humanity.
They reflect on the inner aspects of man and every quality and feelings are analyzed to achieve self realization leading to Allah realization. The lower self is conquered and the self becomes purifi ed and God imposed.
They achieve enlightenment and pure ‘wilayat’ or sainthood and come to be recognized as “Wali Allah’ (friend of Allah) or ‘Peers’.
These saints become true personifi cation of all virtues and saviors of humanity. They teach their disciples the ways to conquer their lower animal self and lead them to pure love of the Lord.

Les soufis sont des "faqirs". Le mot « faqr » signifie – jeûner au nom du Seigneur, contentement, persistance et persévérance dans les prières avec courage et patience, soumission des éléments méprisables, foi totale dans la volonté de l'Être Suprême – Allah, pratiquer la pensée pure et mener une vie de vérité pour parvenir à une vie heureuse.
Celui qui pratique régulièrement ces quatre qualités et mène une vie pieuse de dévouement et d’abandon total à Allah est un soufi et un faqir.
Pour devenir un « faqir », pratiquer le « faqr » et le « faqa » pour marcher sur le chemin de «tariqath» pour atteindre « marifat-e-elahi »/ connaissance divine, alors il faut commencer son voyage en embrassant véritablement le «Tawhid» ( unicité divine) et en acceptant la Risalat/le message du Prophète Mohammed sallallahu alayhi wasallam.
Un Faqir est une âme totalement abandonnée, dotée d'une profonde piété, d'une humilité et sincère jusqu'au fond, avec un amour absolu pour Allah, ses prophètes psse et pour l'humanité.
Ils réfléchissent sur les aspects intérieurs de l'homme et chaque qualité et chaque sentiment sont analysés pour parvenir à la réalisation de soi menant à la réalisation d'Allah.
Le soi inférieur est conquis et le soi devient purifié et Dieu imposé.
Ils atteignent l’illumination et la pure « wilayat » ou sainteté et finissent par être reconnus comme « Wali Allah » (ami d’Allah) ou «partenaires».
Ces saints deviennent de véritables personnifications de toutes les vertus et sauveurs de l’humanité. Ils enseignent à leurs disciples les moyens de vaincre leur moi animal inférieur et les conduisent à l’amour pur du Seigneur.

The Tanakh teaches that transfer of spiritual wisdom from one leader to another can be done by laying of hands, as Moses ordained Joshua through semikhah— by the laying on of hands.

Les soufis avaient un profond désaccord intellectuel sur la relation entre l’amour de Dieu et l’amour de la Création.
De nombreux premiers soufis, dont Dataa Hujweri, estimaient que le mot « Ishq » ne devait pas être utilisé pour décrire l'amour de l'humanité pour le Divin. Il est préférable d’utiliser plutôt des mots comme « Mohabbat ».
Certains soufis, comme Ruzbihan Baaqli, qui voulaient empêcher que le terme « Ishq » soit utilisé pour décrire à la fois l'amour divin et humain, affirmaient que l'amour humain servait comme une sorte d'« échelle » menant à l'Amour Divin [supérieur].
L'amour pour la création (qui inclurait évidemment l'amour pour et parmi les humains) a été relégué au statut d'amour «métaphorique» [Majaazi] par les soufis ultérieurs et de nombreux universitaires modernes du soufisme (Majaazi).
Les soufis du Mazhab-e-Ishq se sont dissociés des catégorisations susmentionnées et ont déclaré que l'amour de Dieu est un Ishq qui embrasse toutes ses créations.

The Sufis had a deep intellectual disagreement over the relationship between the love of God and the love of Creation.
Many early Sufis, including Dataa Hujweri, felt that the word "Ishq" should not be used to describe humanity's love for the Divine. It is preferable to use words like "Mohabbat" instead.
Some Sufis, like Ruzbihan Baaqli, who wanted to stop the term "Ishq" from being used to describe both divine and human love, claimed that human love served as a kind of "ladder" that led to the [higher] Divine Love.
The love for creation (which would obviously include love for and among humans) has been relegated to the status of "metaphorical" [Majaazi] love by later Sufis and many modern academics of Sufism (Majaazi).
The Sufis of the Mazhab-e-Ishq dissociated themselves from the aforementioned categorizations and declared that the love of God is an Ishq that would embrace all of His creations.
