| 12 | By the way… it’s going to take nearly 10 years for a lot of the new nuclear energy capacity to come fully online.
And in the meantime Trump just licked up roughly 50% of global oil supply for roughly the same time period.
Which denies that same oil capacity to who, even if we don’t use it? | 5 962 |

| 14 | Data center debate rages on. My 2 cents:
Angle few people are thinking about... widely distributed data centers are compute capacity that does a number of things to change our structural exposure to cyber risks.
Yeah, there are all the arguments and discussion about the direct utility of these centers, but I want to make another point based on my experiences listening to a father who spent his career in military intelligence and critical systems infrastructure.
This is how the guy who won MANY pentagon wargames would think, and how his contemporaries in China would think. You see racks of civilian computers. My dad would see assets that can be brought online in a total war emergency to join a cyber-defense-shield.
You have to think about how distributed attacks at scale are conducted. Think about semi-independent AI agents with tiered responsibilities. Some penetrate every system possible, and even take over hardware to boot up more agents (desired agents based on available targets) with an intent to cascade and saturate all available compute.
In a total war scenario military systems don't draw the line at ignoring civilian infrastructure. We try to infiltrate and take over THEIR civilian data centers, and they do the same to us. To prevent that WE must, in certain conditions, take over and harden our own civilian systems... so there's not really any such thing as civilian only compute at SCALE during a red folder scenario. Which makes you do the math and conclude you must reverse engineer the entire landscape to support such a scenario from the start.
THEN you realize why 100s of micro-nuclear reactors are suddenly getting approved and shipped left and right like there is some kind of emergency... and Trump made SpaceX the DoDs largest contractor... and 1000s of satellites are being launched at a staggering pace.
U.S. modern warfare planning is looking at total global compute and saying we need earth-based plus satellite and roughly 50% of total global compute to prevent the other half being gobbled up in a borg attack and overwhelming us.
And that's the short version. | 6 012 |

Still feels like a shift to me. This is the first "ban" of any kind at this level, and will probably DESTROY Flock's deal close rate all across every market and deal they have in progress. | 5 699 |
