Children with milk and peanut allergies have shown dramatic signs of improvements by eating small amounts of everyday foods, according to early trial results.
Five UK hospitals have joined the £2.5m trial, thanks to funding from the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation.
Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, from west London, died in 2016 after suffering a severe allergic reaction to sesame baked into a Pret baguette.
Her parents set up the foundation hoping to cure allergies with research.

A rare blue lobster has been caught off the coast in the UK.
The chance of catching a blue lobster was estimated at about one-in-two-million, an expert said.
Fisherman Chris Puckey found the hen in one of his pots in Cornwall in England on Sunday.
The lobster wad given to local aquarium so it could be protected.
"We were concerned it may get caught again in another pot or even be eaten by another lobster,” fishmonger Jacqueline Spencer said.
