“This is the protection which the slave-servant of Allah, Umar, the Commander of the Believers, extends to the people of Ilya: The safeguarding of their lives, properties, churches, crosses, and of their entire community. Their churches cannot be occupied, demolished, or damaged, nor are their crosses or anything belonging to them to be touched. They will never be forced to abandon their religion, nor will they be oppressed…” — Umar ibn Al-Khattab رضي الله عنه[At-Tabari, Tarikh, Vol III, p. 609, ed. Dar Al-Ma`arif, Egypt]

‎ربنا ظلمنا أنفسنا وإن لم تغفر لنا وترحمنا لنكونن من الخاسرين ‎[rabbana thalamna anfusana wa-in lam taghfir lana watarhamna lanakoonanna mina alkhasireen] ‎Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers

The first of his actions for which a servant of Allah will be held accountable on the Day of Resurrection will be his prayers. If they are in order, then he will have prospered and succeeded: and if they are wanting, then he will have failed and lost [Hadith Qudsi]

Oh Allah, please guide me to trust in Your plans, for things work out the way they should, and give me strength to believe that. Aameen.

Farwah b. Nawfal quoted his father as saying that the Prophet ﷺ said to Nawfal (his father): Recite Surah Al-Kafirun and then go to sleep at its end, for it is a declaration of freedom from shirk. [Sunan Abi Dawud 5055] Narrated ‘Aisha رضي الله عنها: Every night when the Prophet ﷺ went to his bed, he joined his hands and breathed into them, reciting into them: Surah Al-Ikhlas, Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas. Then he would wipe as much of his body as he could with his hands, beginning with his head, his face and the front of his body, doing that three times. [Sahih al-Bukhari 5017] Narrated ‘Aisha رضي الله عنها: Whenever Allah's Messenger ﷺ became sick, he would recite Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas and then blow his breath over his body. When he became seriously ill, I used to recite (these two Suras) and rub his hands over his body hoping for its blessings. [Sahih al-Bukhari 5016]
