1. Direct Verification: Users can prove their identity in a P2P way without an intermediary to verify.
2. Privacy via Selective Disclosure: Unlike in Web2 where users have to disclose everything, DApps can selectively read pieces of information, such as age or citizenship.

The 2nd iteration of PRFC2, ParallelChain's NFT standard, is nearing completion. This upgrade will unlock new avenues for innovation. In future updates, PRFC2 serves as a foundation for developing advanced features like Soulbound Tokens.
PRFC1 establishes a standard interface for creating fungible tokens with ParallelChain smart contracts. To showcase PRFC1’s potential, our tutorial will provide guidance for building PRFC1-compliant tokens, covering features like token balances, allowances, and smart contract logs.
Hotstuff-rs: The documentation for the subprotocol is now fully complete and merged into the dev/v0.4 branch. Developers can easily integrate HotStuff’s consensus mechanism into their projects.

Dear ParallelChain Community,
We have an important update: ParallelChain Testnet will undergo a full reset today at 6AM (UTC) to enhance the platform's performance and developer experience.
What You Need to Know:
🔨Duration: The testnet will be down for up to 1 day.
🔨Impact: After the reset, the blockchain will start afresh🧹 . This means that all existing data on the testnet, including deployed smart contracts, txns, and balances, will be reset. In addition, the number of testnet nodes will be reduced from 10 to 5.
🔨Impact on Mainnet: The testnet reset will have no impact on the mainnet.
Actionable Steps for Developers:
✔️Backup Your Data: If you have important data or configurations on the current testnet, please ensure you back them up before 6AM UTC today.
✔️Redeploy Smart Contracts: Prepare your deployment scripts and configurations in advance so you can redeploy your smart contracts once the testnet is back online.

| 16 | 🛠Release Note: Mainnet Node Upgrade to v0.5
Today, the ParallelChain mainnet has successfully completed the migration of mainnet nodes from version 0.4 to version 0.5. Although this upgrade may not result in noticeable changes to the current user experience, it introduces significant improvements in consensus mechanisms and security measures, paving the way for a more robust platform 🪨.
Key Enhancements🪄
- Consensus Enhancement:
🔄Faster synchronization speed when nodes rejoin the network. What does it mean? When a node reconnects to the network after going offline, it needs to catch up on the missed transactions occurred during its absence, being able to sync fast means less downtime.
Users will not notice any changes in their experience.
- Security Improvement:
🐜Enhanced resistance to Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. What does it mean? DDoS attack refers to many systems flooding a network with excessive traffic. By increasing our resistance, we ensure ParallelChain remains reliable and accessible.
Important Notice✍️
There will be an observable increase in the circulating supply that will be visible on the Explorer.
- Issue Addressed:
A slight error in the token vesting interpretation in the previous protocol implementation was identified, which incorrectly counted more vesting instances than existed. (e.g., it would account for 5th, 6th... vesting instance even if the schedule only had 4 instances). This error led to incorrect locked token supply calculations, resulting in a misrepresented lower circulating supply.
- Correction:
The v0.5 upgrade rectifies this issue. Consequently, the correct circulating supply will be displayed, reflecting an increase due to the proper interpretation of the vesting schedules.
We understand that this may prompt questions from the community, and we are prepared to address any concerns regarding this correction.
