Hmm 🤔 Maybe we can start leaving messages everywhere we go: - Trump won! - Don’t get the jab! - God wins! - Take the red pill! - WWG1WGA - God loves you! - No vaccine! - For God and country!

I don’t know about you, but there are times that I just go and go and go, usually running on fumes. Often I don’t even realize how much I’ve been trying to handle things on my own. I’m too busy living! Too busy trying to take care of all my responsibilities, too busy meeting the needs of others. And I’m too busy driving, creating, teaching, researching, washing, cooking, cleaning… and worrying. Sooner or later, the busyness of our lives, the sorrows we carry, and the distractions and temptations of this world will drag us down into the mire. We were never meant to shoulder some of the burdens we do. When our thoughts are scattered, our energy is depleted and our hearts are heavy –when we just can’t… He can. The below song is a reminder that when we hit that wall, we tell Him, “I can’t, but I know You can. You have my faith.” Bart Millard of MercyMe said of their band’s song: “God is worthy long before any of those circumstances even showed up. This song is a declaration to God that even if He went silent and never said another word, He’s still worthy to be praised and that He’s our greatest hope in the midst of the trial.”

Have y’all heard of Simon Khorolskiy? He migrated to the States from Russia in the early 90s and composes music simply for God’s glory. According to his website, “My mission is simple: That many more souls will be touched by the Gospel through my singing… I find great inspiration for new songs in the Bible, many of them have been born while meditating on God’s word. In addition, the Pacific Northwest is full of God’s majestic natural beauty that I feature in my videos. It continually motivates me to praise and worship the Creator.” The way he’s presented hymns provokes me to go deeper in my faith. He has many videos available on YouTube so check him out sometime 🙂

Hands-down, one of my favorite Bible verses. For me, this captures Who God is. He is not an unpredictable god, prone to whimsy, possessing the temperaments of man. His love knows no depths, His care has no limits. The same God Who tended the stars in such a way that He named each one, is the same God Who is passionate about you! “He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name” - Psalm 147:4

The same God Who created the universe, loves us. “When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have set in place, what is mankind that You are mindful of them, human beings that You care for them?” - Psalm 8:3-4

We worship the Creator, not the creation. “And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars—all the heavenly array—do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the LORD your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven” - Deuteronomy 4:19 “Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of His great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing” - Isaiah 40:26
