We worship the Creator, not the creation.
âAnd when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the starsâall the heavenly arrayâdo not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the LORD your God has apportioned to all the nations under heavenâ - Deuteronomy 4:19
âLift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of His great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missingâ - Isaiah 40:26

Did anyone catch the video footage of the eclipse? Isnât God awesome?!
âThe heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His handsâ - Psalm 19:1
âThe sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendorâ - 1 Corinthians 15:41

Your patience is greatly appreciated as I continue to chug along with the âIs Trump A Good Guy?â research. I may take today off. My oldest, boy/girl twins are turning 13. And I can already feel the emotions welling.
No thoughts of The Elites and their vile plans.
Weâre just going to live in this precious moment weâve been gifted.
Today is about them. Two lives who changed mine forever in an instant. I may need to sit a spell, just watch them, marvel at their maturity, and reminisce over all the moments in their young lives. Itâs an honor to watch your children grow. We will cherish todayâs significance in our lives.
God bless each and every one of you, too.

From Brian Cates:
Remember as you watch Obama suddenly come out frantically babbling this stuff: Donald J. Trump is supposed to be a historical footnote at this point. Heâs supposed to be utterly destroyed, completely irrelevant, so radioactive nobody will go near him. THEY CANNOT BELIEVE HE IS NOT ONLY NOT DESTROYED, they are watching Trump assert more control over the GOP.
Trump set a trap. He knew they were coming, that that door had been left wide open, as it always was. But this time somebody was not only watching...they were recording. And this is the end of all the traitors in the American Oligarchy.
From TheStormHasArrived17:
Obama openly discussed with Anderson Cooper how he thought there were enough âguardrails institutionallyâ that the âRepublican establishmentâ wouldnât allow an outsider to change the system. Does he think We the People are in favor of the âestablishmentâ? He is basically saying he thought the Deep State was deep enough that Trump would not have been able to come in and drain the swamp.
Guess what Barry? Heâs not finished yet. We are witnessing the systematic destruction of the OLD GUARD.

This is one of the best sites Iâve ever come across. Itâs a forum that is now quiet sadly, but Iâm so glad that it is still available as there is a wealth of information. I was first drawn to it because of the self-sufficiency area, but as I quickly learned, being self-sufficient is more than just prepping and having skills. For what itâs worth, this happens to be the birthplace of Oath Keepers. So take a peek around the place; Iâm sure youâll find something that piques your interest

One could go crazy trying to figure out all this prepping stuff. Donât drive yourself crazy. Just plan to pick up a variety of a few extras every time you to go the store. Again, think camping supplies. Think about how youâll need to store it, access it and cook it.

This is a good reference for what to store, along with the shelf-life if stored properly:

We used to have a steam distiller for water then switched to using the Berkey water filter. Weâve been using it for 8 years with absolutely no issues or concerns. Before we got hit with the February winter storm a few months ago, we filled up some 5 gallon buckets with water. Then when the utility company issued the boil notice, we just ran what we had stored through the Berkey. No boiling, no waiting, no electricity, no natural gas, no problem.
The best deals will be the week of Thanksgiving, but they offer specials all the time. Even if you decide not to go with a Berkey, check out the site for good information on filtering.

If you get the 5 gallon buckets, the mylar bags and the screw top lids, the one food staple youâll want to have on hand that can last for 20-30 years if stored properly is white rice. Iâd be remiss if I didnât mention that youâll want spices to go with that rice so donât forget to store salt and spices for flavoring! Of course, cooking rice means youâll need water.

đđ» Hereâs the 5 gallon bucket, mylar bag and screw top lid set up (thatâs granulated sugar in there purchased at Costco about 10 years ago. Still in excellent condition!) Thank you to my dear daughter for doing the demo đ€

Here is an example of the screw top lids, and this is the place we got ours. I highly recommend the screw top lids over the regular snap on lids if these are buckets you will access at all. They work well in tandem with the mylar bags providing a seal against the things that will spoil food. After all, whatâs the point in having food put away if you cannot protect it?!

What I recommend has been thoroughly tested by Yours Truly. We began prepping about 12 years ago and some of the food we stored is still good today! Long term storage follows the same basic rules of food storage in general: keep in a cool, dark place away from moisture and direct sunlight.
I do a lot of baking so I buy some supplies in bulk. We store flour, brown sugar and granulated sugar in 5-gallon buckets, using mylar bags and a screw top lid. [Note: I pull from the 5 gallon buckets then add to more manageable storage containers]
We get the 5 gallon buckets from the Tractor Supply Co store for $3.99 each, and purchase the mylar bags online. The advantages of mylar bags are keeping pests, air and moisture from affecting the food. Weâve successfully stored flour (both ground and the berries), sugars, salt, baking soda, pastas, and rice in the 5 gallon buckets.

Last week I posted a very brief mention of prepping for The Unexpected Expected Events in life. Today I want to post a few tips in case this is something of interest to you.
There are tons of sites, forums, blogs and videos about prepping. So of course, the opinions will vary greatly on the howâs, whatâs, whenâs and whereâs of prepping.
The Prepperâs World can be daunting. Donât be intimidated. You do what works for your family, your situation and your budget. Something is better than nothing. Small steps still mean you are moving.
Letâs cover the easiest, quickest, most bang for your buck approach to putting away some extra foodstuffs.
