Friends β We are a few days away from finishing the goal of praying Psalm 91 for 30 days. I have refrained from posting a lot during this time so the focus would be on our Heavenly Father.
I look forward to hearing from you on July 31st about how the LORD has spoken to/moved for you during this time.
There is no doubt in my mind that He has been and will continue to move on our behalf in mighty ways.
Although we could, I donβt think we need to storm the gates of hell right now. Micah tells us, βI will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.β
He knows we want divine intervention, we want healing and salvation, and that we want justice to reign.
We need to trust His timing.
God bless you as you faithfully pray.

Day 25
Father God β Your Spirit gave me the word, βfocusβ when I thought about today's prayer.
The world is on fire, families are split, bitterness and haughtiness and jealousy are rampant, and the load on our shoulders is too much to bear these days. So we ask for Your help focusing on all things You. Help us to be sensitive to Your presence so we are ready to act or simply pause or completely stop when You tell us.
Help us focus on better and stronger relationships with family, sweeter friendships, and kindness towards neighbors and strangers.
Help us focus on how much Your beauty surrounds us and the blessings You bestow.
Help us focus sitting still before You or clinging to the hem of Jesus when we just cannot seem to lift our weary head.
How good is our God that He focuses on every detail of our lives?! There is no detail too small, no problem too big that we cannot bring it before You.
We give You praise and honor.
In the name of Jesus we pray.

Day 24
Father God - We pray for patience. Your kind of patience βthe kind that finally takes root and leads us through the crooked paths, unexpected bumps, and dark valleys with a cheering expectation.
We need patience for the daily grind and unplanned delays. We need patience for those who inconvenience or frustrate us.
We need patience as we interact with difficult people and grapple with uncomfortable situations.
We need patience waiting on You to move on our behalf. Imbue us with mettle and perseverance as we relinquish control and turn it all over into Your loving hands.
In the beautiful name of Jesus we pray.

Day 23
Father God β Help us to turn upward in our thoughts so we may turn outward in our Heavenly purpose.
When words and actions come against us, please remind us of the necessity to forgive and to show grace. When the onslaught is too much to bear, remind us that You fight our battles. Help us recognize the difference between attacks from the enemy and slights that should get the other cheek.
Help us to give mercy for those who need it and show us where to pour out compassion.
We need You to give us the courage to minister to the lost like never before.
We pray to You in the name of Jesus.

It's been an adventure getting re-acquainted with classic literature and I am grateful that Shannon Guerra has an open invitation to any who wish to join in discovering rich stories.
Today, Gaining Ground is starting The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
Shannon also has some some helpful tips:
If you don't have a copy yet, you can get it free online here:

Day 22
Father God - Your children humbly ask for heavenly aligned discernment. We ask for Your wisdom. We ask that You reveal to us Your truth, in Your unique way and we ask that You give us patience while we wait for Your timing.
We ask that You build in us unbroken Holy Spirit clarity.
Help us discern Your will for our lives and infuse in us Your strength so that we may carry out Your instructions.

Day 21
Father God - The riches of this world belong to You. The fauna and flora. Oceans and lakes and rivers. Minerals and energetic sources. Gems and precious metals. You show us Your genius and holiness through the resources You have established.
We thank You for providing such glorious things that reflect Your artistry and care.
We ask for Your steady and reliable hand to supernaturally provide when the worldly supplies we use are limited or diminished. Help us not to look at scary circumstances with our human frailty, but to know that financial strains are Yours to relieve. We trust You wholly to see us through the fluctuations and to furnish all that we need.
In the name of Jesus we pray.

An absolute encouraging read from Shannon Guerra!
So yes, we are under attack. There are people who want to make our everyday activities a war zone of fear and panic β and if that strikes you as hyperbole, youβre just not paying attention.
And:
Seek the Lord, and assemble, because of the increase of his government and of peace, there will be no end.
The Kingdom is here, at hand, all around us and within us. The Kingdom is peace, joy, and righteousness, and every move to abide and reflect Jesus makes earth a little more as it is in heaven.
God is setting an ambush and routing the enemy as the Word reigns in and around us. That Word hovers through the land as we read, sing, remind, write, recite, and declare.
We donβt need to be on stage; weβre all leading worship.
All were meant to see gore and blood and terror, but instead, we witnessed a miracle. And singing and rejoicing as we take the land, we will continue to do so.

Day 20
Father God - You awe us with Your creation! How magnificent have You created our bodies! There is nothing neglected or overlooked.
Since we live in a fallen world, we experience ailments and disease. We know that only You can bring about complete healing from the sicknesses that inflict us. You know the setbacks and sufferings, You know our frustrations and despair.
We ask for and believe that You will restore. We know that You will align, straighten, eradicate, purge, and cleanse, in the name of Jesus!
We take command, rebuking what troubles. Then we speak life into our bodies and minds, believing that we walk free.
We pray this in the precious name of Jesus.

I only tuned in to watch Trump speak at the RNC so I cannot provide remarks for the overall presentation. Of course, Iβve seen some sound bites here and there, and some of those prayers and speakers gives me pause.
What concerns you?
With the exception of the Jerusalem Post, I have not seen articles or commentary about what Trump said regarding hostages. From his speech:
βWe want our hostages back. And they better be back before I assume office, or you will be paying a very big price."
This piqued my interest.
What has piqued yours?

While thereβs a seriousness to prepping for the rockiness ahead, thereβs also an eagerness to create more sweet summer memories.
Thatβs what I would encourage my friends to do as well.
In between the supplications and thanksgivings, savor the sun-ripened berries, follow the flights of the fireflies, and smile when you see the sunflowers.
We must allow ourselves to seek His presence the way a honeybee favors a flower.
God is so good! Always.

I prayed for healing for myself, my family, my country, and for my friends here.
Throughout the day, I kept this beautiful flow of conversation with the LORD.
Snippets of gratitude and flecks of acknowledgement intertwined with confession and concession. In between the chores, errands, and meetings were quieting moments for yielding and giving βand receiving.

My day of fasting did not go the way I thought it would.
Because there has been a heaviness in the air, (you can feel it, right?) I thought I would feel somber and lie prostrate for longβish periods of time before the LORD.
In the morning as I was getting ready to face the Animated World (and by Animated World, I mean my kids), the Holy Spirit laid on my heart one word: heal.
Instead of wearing a veil of grief, I was blanketed with His peace.
Instead of feeling somber, I felt hope.
