💥 Genesis Validators: From 🟡 to 🟢 Hello Nodes Team, Already 220 of the allocated community nodes have their collateral staked. That's a great achievement. 📑 Those who got whitelisted and did not stake yet, we encourage you to complete the process within the next few days. ⏳ To those patiently waiting: thank you. 📣 Whitelist status updated - all Veterans are in! Hello Nodes team, The much awaited status regarding Validator whitelisting is here. 🤝 Veterans that participated in previous Battle of Nodes events, as well as those that only joined us earlier this year but ran nodes in BoNwards, are in. What does this mean: • You can stake as Validator on https://genesis.elrond.com • Please use the Ethereum address you submitted via the Whitelist • After you do so, your nodes will be marked as 🟡 “Pending” - that is 👌 correct for this stage ❕ This is not a guarantee that you will make it to the mainnet. Battle of Nodes is ahead of us. Be there, do well, and then the 🟡 “Pending” turns to 🟢 “Accepted”. Running nodes on BoNwards until then will further cement your participation. ⏱ Please stake as early as you can. This locks your pledge in and gives us information about what is still available for newcomers. 🚧 Those who joined us recently and submitted interest to the Whitelist have not yet been approved. This does not mean that you have been rejected. But staking as a Validator is not possible for you at this time. 👉 How to increase your chances of being accepted: Install a new node and register it on the BoNwards form. ✅ Introducing the Staking Smart Contract & New Monitoring solution from @flyingstone Hello Nodes team, The Staking SC is a system smart contract that manages the entire staking process. You need to call it from an Elrond wallet and tell it what you want to do with your node(s). It supports a number of functions that you can already try. 💰 Ask for test xERD via DM to 🧙‍ @SeverMM 🌍 Send a transaction from a wallet at https://wallet.elrond.com and using the instructions in the specific command, such as destination address, amount to be sent, gas limit and text in the Data field 👉 Change the Gas Limit by pressing the ▶️ near the Fee Limit ❕ Change the Gas Limit AFTER you put in the transaction data in the Data field 👌 If you are a Validator already and send a stake transaction, you will get your money back. 💥 Genesis Validators - How do I become one? Hello Nodes team, The day of the 💥 Genesis Staking is upon us. As a reminder, we are using this process to do an ERC20 $ERD ⏩ mainnet $ERD token swap while staking. A bit like using Internet Explorer to download Chrome, but your other downloads started on IE automatically resume on Chrome. Easy peasy. ❕ Genesis Staking is different for Validators and Delegators. We will publish clear instructions and detailed guides at start. 🧐 How are Genesis Validators selected? Genesis Validator - a node that will be a Validator on the Elrond mainnet at the 💥 Genesis block. We've started the BonWards testnet multiple times, so you know what that means: if the update comes and your node is in the "nodesSetup.json" ✅ Steps to becoming a Genesis Validator: • Whitelist form: put the number N of nodes you want to run at Genesis & the Ethereum address you will be doing that from • Genesis Staking: stake N * 2.500.000 ERD from the Ethereum address in the Whitelist form • Participate in the next ⚔️ Battle of Nodes 🛡 incentivized testnet event 💚 Higher chances: - you were in the previous two Battle of Nodes events and scored above average - you stayed with us in BoNwards, the un-incentivized testnet that is running now - you are 🛠 Elrond in the true culture sense: willing to put in the work and help others ❎ What if I stake and get rejected? - You can withdraw your Validator stake and follow the Delegator process instead - No rewards calculated for this period - think twice about your chance of being selected, considering the above criteria 🧙‍♂️ DM the old man @SeverMM: - you want to change info in the Whitelist - you are unsure if you will "make it" - have ANY unclarities or questions at all Team, this isn't easy. All their nodes are grouped together under their unique identity, which is managed via Keybase, which was just acquired by Zoom, btw.
