Scorpion bite: short notes 1. Do not use anti scorpion unless the pt is extremely ill, it has very little benefit. 2. The most important and the physiological antidote for scorpion bite is prazocin, it can reverse nearly all autonomic symptoms like HF, pulm edema, HT crisis, and even hypotensive state. البرازوسين يجي ع شكل tab فقط و ننطيه بجرعة 30 mcg/kg و نكدر نعيدها كل ٣٠ دقيقة لحد ما يتحسن الببشنت (ماكو max dose تقريبا). و الأهم من هذا، من نريد نكتب برازوسين لازم نكتب Prazocin immediate release tab لأن اذا نكتب بس برازوسين، راح يرجعلك Prazocin slow release و هذا not recommend. 3. Analgesia of choice is NSAIDs. Opoiods are contraindicated. العقرب السامة الي بالعراق هي H. Lepturius، و تنطي اعراض نفس اعراض Echis carinatus. 4. Antiscorpion: try to avoid it as much as possible. Dose: 3 vials in 50 cc NS infused over 30 min If no response, give another 2 vials. No additional vials are required even if still no response. الدوز هاي ثابته لجميع الاعمار و جميع الحالات. مجرد ما تقرر انه تنطي anti scorpion، لازم ننطيه بهاي الجرعة. #environment
