Nvidia + XWailand = not good (yet) I switched to Wayland (nvidia driver) and it works so smooth. Nice animations, no tearing! Much better than X11. I was so happy until I decided to join Zoom meeting. It turns out zoom is using some old Qt version which doesn't support wayland, so it should be run by XWayland wrapper. Later I found that some apps like Skype and others also use XWayland. And its awful, if XWayland is active, the app is lagging and blinking. It feels like framedrops in games (but with black frames) I know you probably thinking that nvidia an evil company doesn't want to fix it for linux users, but its not completely true! They actually provided a PR with a fix for the issue. The only problem is the PR can't be finalized for 1 year! Its just frustrating. https://preview.redd.it/z2n7tkd92q6c1.png?width=4032&format=png&auto=webp&s=16d7ff30ad643cb3d6a166ccf89b659e12327c95 https://redd.it/18k0otd @r_linux

Look at the man page, they said. It will be fine, they said From the tcpdump man page, I was looking how to capture from an IPv6 address To print all IPv4 HTTP packets to and from port 80, i.e. print only packets that contain data, not, for example, SYN and FIN packets and ACK-only packets. (IPv6 is left as an exercise for the reader.) tcpdump 'tcp port 80 and (((ip2:2 - ((ip0&0xf)<<2)) - ((tcp12&0xf0)>>2)) != 0)' (IPv6 is left as an exercise for the reader.) https://redd.it/18hpduc @r_linux

Kinoite Nightly images with Plasma 6

Thanks to the packaging efforts of the members of the KDE SIG (especially Alessandro Astone, Justin Zobel and Steve Cossette), we now have enough updated packages in Fedora to create Fedora Kinoite nightly images with KDE Plasma 6.
